Denise was great!!! Such a different take on barre instruction. She really explains everything. It doesn't seem like she's just going through the motions. She tells you the reason behind every exercise and where you should feel it.

Outdoor Yoga - Exhale Flow Yoga

Thalia is amazing and her yoga class really strengthens and stretches you out. It was bad weather so we were inside, only bad thing here is that you can hear the other loud classes going on in the other room at the same time. Luckily Thalia knee to turn in some soothing music and that helped a lot.

    Prana to Music (heated)

Prana flows tend to be a little basic and repetitive, with emphasis on moving with your breath - and sometimes you need that. I like how relaxing and zen it is, the heat helping ease your muscles into deeper stretches. Ive been going to Prana for 8 years and I think the changes YogaWorks brought have been positive: now if you rent a mat, its clean instead of soggy and sweaty from the person that used it before; the mats and blocks are new; the blankets and The Secret-esque positive thinking cards have been replaced by merch Id actually buy and a 20% off Manduka sale. Otherwise, the studio seems pretty much the same as before. Im satisfied!

    Forrest Yoga

Amy is an excellent Forrest Yoga teacher. This class encourages deep breathing, self study, strength, and meeting your edge with curiosity. Forrest is somewhat sweaty but not fast-moving. Air in the studio is clean, not a lot of fragrance on people, which is a big relief. (Class was very full, so may not be the best for those with current trauma). CCY is a beautiful space with plenty of room in the waiting area. Highly recommend.

Elliotts class was full of interesting poses and transitions. I was glad to find someone willing to change things up a bit and challenge the class to advance their practice and try Peacock and Inverted Locust. This definitely wasnt a class for beginners. I've always liked this studio, but it was my first time going to a class with LeeMarie. It was incredible--deep stretching and just the right amount of heat. LeeMarie's energy was so gentle, welcoming, and non-judgmental, with an emphasis on doing what's best for your own body. I've practiced all over the city and this was one of the very best yoga classes I've ever taken! Five stars, hands down.

First time here. Beautiful studio! One of the most beautiful studios (barre, Yoga, Pilates, anything) Ive ever been to. Very welcoming staff. Both the teacher and (I think) owner introduced themselves as soon as you walk in. Instructor led a great class. I didnt think it was so much a power class, but I did think it was a great yoga class with a good flow and emphasis on stretch. Will definitely be back. Plus everything so clean! I actually wasnt afraid to touch the props which I usually want to avoid in other studios.

Lights are too bright and I wish they had softer light like the lamps at Prana/YogaWorks Central Sq. I definitely sweated buckets in class - bring a towel! Instructor was fun, not super serious, added in color commentary like “Instagram ruined yoga.” I enjoyed this class and would come back!

Very different from any other class I've taken (and I've taken many). This is not an exercise class; you won't work up a sweat. It's more like a mix between slow yoga and meditation, with an emphasis on correct alignment/posture. Marie is very sweet and keeps classes small (we had 6 total) so that she can be attentive to everyone. I'm not sure if I'll go back to this particular class because I prefer more high energy workouts, but I'm definitely going to try the studio's other classes!
