The spots by the window had a tiny breeze that saved me, plus the studio space is so gorgeous I would gladly endure the heat to do yoga there. FYI unlike most yoga spots, the bathroom is huge and there are three (!) really showers in the women’s locker room.

The past two times I’ve been there is a new woman there who just walks around the studio yelling over and over, “You’ve got this !” and it’s very impersonal and robotic. It’s annoying me to the point that I’m getting turned off by the gym. I liked my first few experiences there where the instructors walked around to make sure you were ok & corrected if needed, didn’t just walk around yelling the same thing over and over without even really paying attention to what’s going on. I don’t think anybody really appreciates it.

The instructors were helping me pick the right dumbbells during the workout (when I felt not right). The instructor also corrected me when I did something in a bad movement and showed me the correct way during the workout. The whole workout is intense but solid and clear. It was great experience! I used the studio on the 3rd floor to do my warm up + yoga. And then hit the machines for strength and cardio. Staff was very nice and helpful. This might just be my new go-to.

I used to have a hard time walking up the stairs due to injuries and the lack of physical movement during the height of the pandemic, which exasperated my tight/strained muscles. I was in pain everyday for several weeks to months and unfortunately, workouts at other fitness studios just made it worse. When the city started to open up, I found Presher! The coaches here remind you to slow down instead of rushing for reps. It’s great you can bang out many reps using heavy weights but it’s not great when the form is ugly - you’ll feel super ugly when your body is in pain from an injury. Classes at Presher have been effective for me and driven great results! I was also mentally and physically fatigue but during and after class I felt revitalized. Yippie!!

Expect an intense and borderline soul sucking strength training class with plenty of timed lifting intervals used for a variety of lower and upper body moves such as racked squats, lunges, deadlifts, swings, sumos, gorilla rows, push presses, renegade rows, high pulls & plank work. He also tends to toss in a conditioning section with plyometric work, plus an AMRAP, then finishing with core. Please have both lifting and KB knowledge before coming because this is absolutely not a beginner class. You will sweat buckets, get breathless, work all of the muscle groups to fatigue, and you’ll be toasted by the end of the hour. I never miss a Wednesday!
