About this class

Are you new to yoga? Want to build strength, activate your core muscles and increase flexibility? Power Life’s Power One class is an unheated, moderately paced class designed to give you time and support to understand the proper alignment of each posture and to introduce you to Vinyasa flow or “flow” which is the transition through postures using one breath and one movement. Power One is a fun and interactive class and a great place to start your Power Life journey.

How to prepare

Please bring a yoga mat, towel and water bottle to class. All items are available for rent and to purchase at the studio as well.

How to get there

The South Plaza studio is located on the 48th Street side of the building. Free parking is available in the garage adjacent to the studio.

Class was sooooooo packed - it would have been nice to have a little space without hitting the wall or your neighbor.

I really love that there is a sense of routine in this class because it lets you track your progress and small victories. I love the feeling of being able to hold a pose longer or sink into a pose even deeper than I did the week before. It helps that Lauren is so encouraging!

Coming to Lauren's class is a highlight in the middle of my week. It really helps me remember to practice self-care and give myself credit. I feel challenged at some parts, super strong at others, and always inspired to finish the week out strong when I leave!

Good practice. But be warned: Power1 is not a beginners course. Very little instruction or adjustments, and I didn't receive a very friendly response to my request for assistance with one pose.

This was my first time going to Power Life yoga. The temperature in the Power 1 Class was a little warmer than I expected - around 80 degrees - so make sure you bring a towel. Studio was clean and everyone was friendly.

Lauren is such a gem. She comes across as very chill, understanding, and genuine. This is my second time, and I'm so excited to make it a weekly routine; it's a super way to reset and take on the second half of my work week. Plus she plays this bomb Bob Iver song close to the end of the class, and it's EVERYTHING.

Caring and supportive instructor. Ive been away from practice for a while. It was not so challenging that I was discouraged, but I was sore the next day, which is good!

What is ClassPass?

ClassPass is a new kind of gym membership that grants you access to thousands of different classes at studios and gyms in your city and around the world.

Price of membership depends on your plan type and city, and you can book and explore classes ranging from yoga to barre to cycling to martial arts – the options are truly endless!

The number of classes you can take and the number of times you can visit a studio per month depends on which plan you're on. You can figure out which plan you're on by going to your Account Settings and looking under 'Your current plan.' With hundreds of studios in our ever-growing network, you're bound to always find a new class to enjoy. When your cycle renews, you can go back and revisit those favorites yet again!
