About this class

A knock-out workout part Kickboxing, part Mat Pilates, and part Yoga! A Pilates ProWorks original, MatBox is a powerful workout that starts with a round of high-intensity kickboxing with a punching bag. Then, the gloves come off and you hit the mat for a round of Pilates to strengthen your core. The final round incorporates Yoga to leave you aligned, balanced and fully invigorated. The result is a balanced mix of high-energy and focused intensity that tones, aligns and blasts calories. *no sparring or physical contact. Hand wraps and gloves required. Please arrive 10 minutes early as the equipment requires ample time to gear up.

How to prepare

Socks are required to be worn for Pilates classes on the FitFormers (grippy socks recommended and sold in studio). MatBox gloves & wraps are free to borrow. Please make sure you arrive on time for class. If you are new you will need to fill out paperwork, so please arrive early giving yourself time to settle in. *New clients who have never taken a class at our studio will not be allowed in after the class has started, no exceptions. Returning clients will not be allowed in after 5 minutes.

How to get there

Street parking available metered as well as free. There is also parking available in the Arkadia building where the studio is located. The entrance for Parking Garage is found on Halsted, first turning south of Adams. Please be advised new clients will not be allowed in after the start of class and we do not permit any clients into class after 5 minutes.

What is ClassPass?

ClassPass is a new kind of gym membership that grants you access to thousands of different classes at studios and gyms in your city and around the world.

Price of membership depends on your plan type and city, and you can book and explore classes ranging from yoga to barre to cycling to martial arts – the options are truly endless!

The number of classes you can take and the number of times you can visit a studio per month depends on which plan you're on. You can figure out which plan you're on by going to your Account Settings and looking under 'Your current plan.' With hundreds of studios in our ever-growing network, you're bound to always find a new class to enjoy. When your cycle renews, you can go back and revisit those favorites yet again!
