About this studio

Global Breath's classes offer something for everyone. From deep stretching in Yin Yoga, to strength building in Kickasana, to peace of mind in Mindfulness & Meditation, you will find something to support you on your own authentic path. Everyone is welcome! Global Breath Studio was built to embody the understanding that all people are part of the same global family, where everyone shares their resources, and compassion for all beings. All practices at Global Breath support LiveGlobally, a Durham-based 501c3 non-profit, committed to creating and supporting sustainable programs for the wellbeing of individuals and communities, locally and globally.

How to prepare

Try to arrive about 15 minutes before class starts. The studio offers free filtered water and tea, and free studio mats. There are vegan to-go meals and smoothies available for purchase after class as well as gourmet coffee beverages after morning classes. There is a restroom and a changing room available.

How to get there

Global Breath Studio is located in downtown Durham, on the 3rd floor of 119 W Main St (next to the Pinhook, above Rock's Barbershop). All parking in downtown Durham is free from 7pm-8am and on the weekends. During business hours you can park in one of several city-operated parking decks within 1-2 blocks of the studio. The closest one is the 4 story Corcoran Street parking deck (corner of Corcoran & Ramseur) just steps from the studio. Global Breath will happily validate your parking in one of the decks.

She did all the asanas w us. I wish she held the space a bit more. And she talked through the whole thing, even shavasana.... I was hoping for foundations more and less of a teacher training lesson

this was fast-paced and challenging enough for my intermediate level, but the instructor gave clear instructions and reasonable modifications for beginners as well. The only thing I didn't like was the heavy smell of incense in the room, but that's just personal preference!

This was an excellent class for stretching, waking up, and easing into my day. The piano music was very relaxing and the instructor's directions were clear. I can't wait to go back and do this one again!

the studio is beautiful, welcoming, and accommodating. This was a difficult work out! I hadn't done yoga in a while and this was a vigorous reintroduction. But it's a great option if you're looking for Pilates Style muscle strengthening.

What is ClassPass?

ClassPass is a new kind of gym membership that grants you access to thousands of different classes at studios and gyms in your city and around the world.

Price of membership depends on your plan type and city, and you can book and explore classes ranging from yoga to barre to cycling to martial arts – the options are truly endless!

The number of classes you can take and the number of times you can visit a studio per month depends on which plan you're on. You can figure out which plan you're on by going to your Account Settings and looking under 'Your current plan.' With hundreds of studios in our ever-growing network, you're bound to always find a new class to enjoy. When your cycle renews, you can go back and revisit those favorites yet again!
