About this studio

Body By Simone is a Dance Cardio based boutique fitness studio that allows clients to get their sweat on and achieve the desired dancers physique. Celebrity trainer Simone De La Rue has created an exclusive boutique studio where clients can feel comfortable and at ease in a welcoming environment while achieving the best possible results! Located in the heart of West Chelsea in the art gallery district, the studio offers three separate rooms for training and classes. With 15 foot ceilings, dark wood sprung floors, and an advanced sound system, our Flagship location offers a full schedule of classes and can accommodate group parties and private training sessions as well. To ensure the safety of our clients, clients will not be permitted to enter 5 minutes after the start of class.

How to prepare

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? We suggest wearing comfortable, supportive work-out attire. Many of our clients prefer to wear capris or leggings as you will be getting very hot and sweaty! All of our classes include Dance Cardio intervals, so please be sure you have supportive sneakers for all of our classes at Body By Simone. DO YOU HAVE SHOWERS AND LOCKER ROOMS? Yes, we have showers supplied with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels and hairdryers for your convenience. We do have a locker room, however please be sure to bring your own lock.

How to get there

WHAT IS THE NEAREST SUBWAY? The nearest subway is the C/E located on 8th Avenue and 23rd Street. The new 7 extension will also take you 34th street and 11th avenue, a short walk from the studio. The local 1 train is also close by on 7th Avenue at either 23rd or 28th Street. Citi Bikes are conveniently located on 26th Street and 10th Avenue – only 1 block from the studio! To ensure the safety of our clients, clients will not be permitted to enter 5 minutes after the start of class.

Love the moves, the music and instructor!
Dance Cardio with Sarah
Class could have been great but the instructor was terrible. She breezed through each dance once and expected you to then be able to complete it on your own. I guess the class is often made up of returning students who stumbled through classes enough to learn the choreography. She was winded and kept walking around the classroom leaving us lost with no one to follow. I could understand this approach if we were doing reps of a static movement, but it doesn’t make sense for a dance class. I would still recommend this class because it’s a great concept, but I advise you to avoid Sarah B. at all costs. Not work the ClassPass points!!
Full Body with Maddy
This class was awesome! Great mix of dance cardio and toning. Maddy was a great instructor with so much positive energy! Loved this class!
HTB (Hips, Thighs, & Buns) with Pilar
This was like if Zumba/barre/Pilates had an evil baby. I’ll certainly see results after this class if I get the courage to sign up again!

I wish I could hear the instructor better, and I would have liked more hands on corrections.

Its a good class if you’ve been to the classes a lot, otherwise as a beginner it’s very hard to follow as the class is very fast pace

This is essentially a dance class with some strength training thrown in for good measure. So to get a good workout out of this, you have to know the choreography. Not suited for those of us shopping around classes through ClassPass.

Class was great! Sarah was so engaging and upbeat - it was only my 2nd class so I felt really encouraged and could follow along with the exercises
Tramp Cardio with Maddy
Great and hard class. Small which I liked. Dance moves and choreography. No where near a subway which was difficult.

Super fun. Very paced but was a good workout.

What is ClassPass?
