About this studio

Body By Simone is a Dance Cardio based boutique fitness studio that allows clients to get their sweat on and achieve the desired dancers physique. Celebrity trainer Simone De La Rue has created an exclusive boutique studio where clients can feel comfortable and at ease in a welcoming environment while achieving the best possible results! Located in the heart of West Chelsea in the art gallery district, the studio offers three separate rooms for training and classes. With 15 foot ceilings, dark wood sprung floors, and an advanced sound system, our Flagship location offers a full schedule of classes and can accommodate group parties and private training sessions as well.

How to prepare

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? We suggest wearing comfortable, supportive work-out attire. Many of our clients prefer to wear capris or leggings as you will be getting very hot and sweaty! All of our classes include Dance Cardio intervals, so please be sure you have supportive sneakers for all of our classes at Body By Simone. DO YOU HAVE SHOWERS AND LOCKER ROOMS? Yes, we have showers supplied with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels and hairdryers for your convenience. We do have a locker room, however please be sure to bring your own lock.

How to get there

WHAT IS THE NEAREST SUBWAY? The nearest subway is the C/E located on 8th Avenue and 23rd Street. The new 7 extension will also take you 34th street and 11th avenue, a short walk from the studio. The local 1 train is also close by on 7th Avenue at either 23rd or 28th Street. Citi Bikes are conveniently located on 26th Street and 10th Avenue – only 1 block from the studio!

Dance Cardio with Tiffany
Good: nice studio, lively instructor, good sweat To be enhanced: similar concept to Tracy Anderson esque dancing, the dance steps were a bit outdated and I felt I was stuck in 80s. The location is also so far west that it takes forever to get to the studio. The music was also outdated. Ive gone to other similar dance/sculpt type of studios and prefer them over this. Dance routines and music are just more hip and new there. Given how far this location is, Id probably wont be returning for a while.

Nobody on earth is better than Jasmine! Shes an absolute delight to workout with. BBS is too lucky to have her!

The cardio wasnt that challenging, but maybe bc the dance moves were moving/switching so fast it was hard to keep up. This was my second class at bbs but found it harder to follow than my first , perhaps bc dance moves were more complicated? Breaks between cardio and toning were too long. Toning itself was good though

So fun to just bounce around and get some energy out. Great for all levels!
Dance Cardio with Shelby
Shelby was amazing, super upbeat and so friendly. However, this definitely was less dancing, more bouncing. Great for beginners in the dance cardio space but if you're looking for a more complicated, dance routine I would try DanceBody or elsewhere. The studio is beautiful, two showers, and great amenities.

Friendly Instructor and nice studio! This was my first class, and it was definitely challenging for me (I.e. burpees) but still managed to be high energy and fun!

Music was really cheesy and so were the dance moves more cheerleader/bad aerobics than real dancing - lights were really bright instructor didnt turn them down till last few minutes and music was way to loud with bad techno remixes- been to other good dance cardio classes there that were way better dont know what happened
