    Honestly this is my favorite class at Bodyrok! It’s the only megaformer class I can find in NYC to incorporate the jump board, which I really takes the workout up a notch. My only gripe with BodyRok in general is that there aren’t as many instructions on form, but Kristen was an exception. Having had rotator cuff surgery and tears in both shoulders, I really appreciated the options offered to modify each position to what works best for my body. Great class!

    I can see why people love this class and why people don’t. It’s a very difficult workout. I consider myself advanced in Pilates (been consistently practicing for 3 years, 3-6x wk) and this was tough. I also burned a significant number more calories in this class than traditional Pilates reformer classes. Personally, I’m a purist and enjoy a heavier emphasis on core connection and using your own body weight. I felt like I was never doing anything exactly correctly although I’m sure it gets easier with time. I’ll be back but will be keeping reg Pilates in my routine. That said, Travis was so awesome and motivating and a great teacher for this first timer. Appreciated the kick ass workout. ((By the way, you need a code to get in the door!!! Chk your email!))

    This crunch was in much better condition than your average crunch. If not brand new it was definitely recently renovated. Front desk staff was super nice and helpful, and even cheerful which was extra noticeable bc it was snowstorm and they were right by the door. The locker room lockers require a padlock but there are lockers right outside the locker room with keypad locks. Good array of equipment and everything was clean.

Loved the interval style she used today, whereby we did a series of three exercises in a row and then cycled back through them all.     This was my first time taking SLS and it was such an incredible class. I know I will feel it tomorrow. I usually can’t take weekday classes because I work during the day but it was nice for my first class because it was small and the instructor took time to get to know me and explain the machine to me. I work out all over the city and try multiple classes of all but this class is so different than any other I’ve taken and it kicked my butt in the best way possible. Great music , nice studio , great instructor. I felt so great at the end of the class and can’t wait to go back !!
