She is so kind and you can tell they have cultivated an amazing environment in the studio. The class was pretty intimate but the women in there were all so encouraging and kind as well. Definitely take a class here if you can!

see all reviewsLinda is the best. She taps into the root of yoga and shares her wisdom throughout her class. She always ends class beautifully by asking us to close our eyes and look towards our third eye, “If you see a blue or purple dot, the ancients say this is the tether to the divine.” It’s a honor to practice yoga from Linda.

see all reviewsDonny's class is unlike any other. I enter the class person and leave another. It's an hour-long deep meditation set to a beautifuly curated, trance-like but rhythmic playlist. He gives intentional and detailed coaching throughout, keeping our attention on our breath and reminding of micro adjustments for each pose. You can feel that he is totally present and genuinely wants to share this with his community. He has a true gift. After three weeks of traveling and practicing yoga elsewhere, I am so glad to be back to Asteya and in particular Donny's class. Nothing compares.

see all reviewsThe instructor is lovely and leads a very low impact yet challenging class that I enjoy every single time. My only problem is are the clients are extremely annoying because if there’s all this vacant space in the class, they will come and squish up next to you every time and I’m not sure if that’s a rule that I haven’t been informed of here, but I don’t know why people bunch up like that here when there’s so much room it’s like they wanna overlap mats. It’s kind of weird, but that has nothing to do with the instructor.

see all reviewsVery relaxing and slow-paced. This was in their large downstairs studio, which can be quite cold so be sure to wear layers (this is not a workout class, so you won’t be sweating or moving much). Also, since they don’t have curtains or blinds, there are sometimes a lot of noise and light pollution from the parking lot and street (pedestrians walking by and talking, car headlights, bus announcements, etc.)

I felt very physically challenged yet calm and serene at the same time. I think her playlist, voice, and the way she led the class contributed so much to my experience. I really appreciated her playful teaching style too it added an element of fun which I think lacks in a lot of similar spaces. I recently started working out and I am SO sore. Mindy’s class really stretched me out. It was really beginner friendly so I was able to keep up, which boosted my yoga confidence. It’s really distracting all of class (it sounds like constant loud snoring) - a few of the other students have made comments as well. Not a reflection on any of the classes or the studio, it just makes it more difficult to enjoy/relax.

see all reviewsI enjoyed this class. It was self-paced and trauma-informed. The instructor H gave supportive cues for adjustments and honoring our bodies/individual practice. Felt challenged but secure as a newbie to the space. I do practice yoga at home but haven't used a studio space in quite some time. (and I'm not a super bendy expert either)! felt beginner-ish friendly as H explained and described some of the positions in the flow for those who might not have felt familiar with the language.

You can bring baby with you into class: leave them in the car seat, stroller, have them lay in front of you on a blanket. The baby doesn’t do yoga, lol. Only Mama. There’s no judgement, if you need to feed the baby, walk around, play with the baby in between or during poses then it’s all good. This is a light hearted class and takes the pressure off of having the baby not make noise.

The last time I only heard her say hello on the computer to two people but there are so many people in person… and since she’s catering to the people from home she doesn’t walk around the room to give any adjustments. The computer set up also takes up a bunch of room since no one wants to be in the computers camera shot. Still love her classes regardless!
