    Hip Hop Happy Birthday (Kenny)

First time spinning at 6ix cycle and I will be back! Great hip hop tunes and Leah created a sequence that focused on core. This is probably the least pretentious spin studio in Toronto (trust me I’ve been to almost every one!) so if you are new to spinning, check this place out.

A killer way to start the day, Steve always delivers with a tough spin ride. Get your rave on, if you don't like loud EDM then this class won't be for you but the music definitely gets you going. Always tough to get a spot in this class on classpass.

    Spin

Justine was really sweet, had great energy and probably the best playlist by far! My only little feedback was I felt she hopped off her bike a little too much, and I usually find Adam (who she subbed for) goes through the workout with us to the very end and I like that more. But not worth deducting a star because I would definitely go back to a class with Justine in the future!

Justin is one of the top 3 instructors at SPINCO. And one of the few instructors who stay on the bike for the entire workout. Awesome playlist with 3 Ariana Grande songs and even a song from A Star Is Born. Sign up early because his classes are almost always full!

Loved the new bikes, they make for a much smoother ride! However, I wish there were different weight options, I didnt feel very challenged with the ones provided. Instructor was awesome I love how much energy and encouragement she brought to the class, and the pacing was well thought out.

Overall a good class, just not my style of music. I am not a huge fan of techno/house so I prefer the dedicated hip hop classes. Also wish there wasn’t so much arm/dance choreography - I think it’s setting people up for injury. Not a big deal though, as you can opt out and just ride the bike.

First of all, Jackie is a fantastic instructor. Her rides are more athletic than dance-y and she takes the time to explain proper form and technique to new riders, but still keeps it challenging for experienced riders. Second, the service here is excellent: The staff are so friendly and welcoming, I’ve been before so they had bike shoes in my size waiting for me when I got there, and on Mondays they serve free coffee! :)

Hoooooly crap. Anastasia kicked my butt! Shes a pro fighter so the class was structured in a way that I assume shed normally train. 20-25 minute INTENSE warmup with core work, lots of skipping, and other drills. This was followed by shadow boxing and technique, then some work on the pads. She really challenged me and was no nonsense - dont go unless you want to be pushed to your limits. I will be back! Keep up the amazing work Anastasia.

After four consecutive days of hard workouts, Roll Out was a gift. It’s like a sports massage: it doesn’t always feel good while it’s happening, but the benefits after are essential. Instruction and pacing were on point, and the studio vibe is encouraging and fun. I’ll be back!

Emily as a really high energy instructor and very accommodating of new students. The class was definitely exhilarating and well-paced. The self-settings lockers are kind of small but there are hooks for coats and bigger bags. Showers and bathrooms (non-gendered) are really clean. It's good to know that Torq doesn't rent shoes but you can use regular running shoes (just make sure you're well-strapped in).

This was Elizabeth’s class. She was teaching, not Louise. Such a tough sweaty workout and she really wanted everyone to push through but still have options. Loved her energy! Too bad some members were very disrespectful towards her.

Great workout. I haven’t been working out as much the last 6 months so my fitness has lapsed a bit. It was pretty challenging but for a more seasoned fitness buff it is moderately challenging with the ability to make it more or less challenging based on your experience.
