    This class was HARD!! I liked that Mariela gave a really thorough intro/demo to the circuits before we did anything, and she had an assistant in the room to guide with form/timings/etc. I would’ve liked a bit more help in terms of modifications, as I found some of the moves got too difficult as the class progressed. The space is also very large and clean, with a nice variety of equipment.

    Such a beautiful, spotless and spacious studio! On the corner with a sweeping view of the park. This instructor is soft spoken and teaches in a more classical, slower pace. Class was good but I prefer a more upbeat energizing style. However she was very clear and demonstrated most exercises so you always knew exactly what to do.

    If it’s your first time and you arrive early, be aware they may not be at the studio until 10-15 minutes before class. Hang tight, and email if necessary. This was my first experience using any Pilates equipment (& there is a difference between the megaformer and reformer) and it was both challenging and enjoyable. Every instructor is different, and Blake was supportive as she was aware it was the my first - adjustments and notes on form were provided. Don’t be afraid to “jump”! WundaBar has 2 other locations, UES & Brooklyn Heights - plenty of space in this studio.

    Honestly this is my favorite class at Bodyrok! It’s the only megaformer class I can find in NYC to incorporate the jump board, which I really takes the workout up a notch. My only gripe with BodyRok in general is that there aren’t as many instructions on form, but Kristen was an exception. Having had rotator cuff surgery and tears in both shoulders, I really appreciated the options offered to modify each position to what works best for my body. Great class!

    This crunch was in much better condition than your average crunch. If not brand new it was definitely recently renovated. Front desk staff was super nice and helpful, and even cheerful which was extra noticeable bc it was snowstorm and they were right by the door. The locker room lockers require a padlock but there are lockers right outside the locker room with keypad locks. Good array of equipment and everything was clean.

    Briana was great! It ended up just being me for the class so she was able to focus on me and adjust my form and alignment, which was much needed since it was my first time using the wunda chair and ped o pole. Great class and looking forward to coming back and improving!
