My only gripe with BodyRok in general is that there aren’t as many instructions on form, but Kristen was an exception. Having had rotator cuff surgery and tears in both shoulders, I really appreciated the options offered to modify each position to what works best for my body. Great class!

The machine is a combo of a chair/ reformer/ jump board. Socks are required which i don’t love as my feet are always swimming around. Loved the interval style she used today, whereby we did a series of three exercises in a row and then cycled back through them all. It was nice to not have to stay in the same exercise for super long, but still get to come back to it and hit it again. I sweat my ass off. And she played great music.

I usually can’t take weekday classes because I work during the day but it was nice for my first class because it was small and the instructor took time to get to know me and explain the machine to me. I work out all over the city and try multiple classes of all but this class is so different than any other I’ve taken and it kicked my butt in the best way possible. Great music , nice studio , great instructor. I felt so great at the end of the class and can’t wait to go back !!

And also there’s a ton of variety class to class. And also some of the moves involve balancing which makes them feel more fun and interesting. see all reviewsI thought I was in shape until this class. I usually work out 3 days a week doing HIIT classes, but this one kicked by butt. Super fast paced class with no breaks.! Expect to do high reps counts of exercises like lunges, squats, deadlifts, rows, tricep extensions etc with weights in hand and cardio bursts of jumping jacks, high knees, burpees, skiers and squat jumps. FYI, no locks for lockers so you have to bring your own or find a place to stash it in the workout studio room. Class size tonight was around 25 people.
