    Full Body - Upper Focus (50 Minutes)

    Sam is a fantastic instructor, maybe the best yet! He incorporated an intense workout and also some stretches in the first transition treadmill to floor. This really improved the quality of the workout. His exercises were intense and truly* targeted full body, while not being unnecessarily exhausting. His motivation during class for treadmill speeds was good- not pushy but definitely inspired me to go faster than I thought I could! Did not feel pressured to do too much. I’ll be able to recover and also burned some calories and toned. Please have Sam back to UWS Barry’s again!

    Always a great class! Good mix of cardio and strength training and perfect all levels. You can really go at your own pace and modify when needed. The only party that could be changed is the rough ground. Wish there were mats when we’re doing planks because it definitely hurts my hands. Definitely coming back!

    Samantha is amazing and I love this class! Its a slow burn, definitely not your traditional pilates class and so much fun!     Awesome class with a wide variety of both upper & lower moves to hit almost all of the major muscle groups. Would’ve liked to see less squats (we did 4 rounds of them) with some sort of lunges opted in instead, plus more tricep work added in, but with these shortened classes, we definitely lose the ability to do it all in only 50mins, which is unfortunate.

    Eric is such a motivating instructor in all the best ways. I like that he’s so calm but still manages to be upbeat and encouraging. What I particularly liked about this class is that because it was a bit more full, Eric was accompanied by another staff member to lead the second group through the circuits so both groups got individual attention, encouragement, and clarity. Super, super helpful! As for the workout, kicked my butt but it was super doable.

    Always love the Classic class, and Eddie has a great simple teaching style. One comment - not a review or a reflection of the studio - someone came in wearing crazy perfume or fragrance. Coupled with the heat of the room, it gave me a headache and was also incredibly distracting. So I guess the point of this is - if you’re new to hot yoga, don’t wear crazy perfume to class. Although this goes for ANY workout class.

    Our instructor Megan was great, she took the time to correct my stance several times. Was concise and easy to follow. She also topped off the class with an adjustment and aromatherapy with tea tree oil. Playlist was a fun mix which helped to keep me engaged. The facilities need work, a lot of keys are missing on the lockers and the heat was disappointing. Temperature was turned on at 100 but it felt like 80 tops. I felt a strong draft from the window throughout the class.

    I thought I was in shape until this class. I usually work out 3 days a week doing HIIT classes, but this one kicked by butt. Super fast paced class with no breaks.! Expect to do high reps counts of exercises like lunges, squats, deadlifts, rows, tricep extensions etc with weights in hand and cardio bursts of jumping jacks, high knees, burpees, skiers and squat jumps. FYI, no locks for lockers so you have to bring your own or find a place to stash it in the workout studio room. Class size tonight was around 25 people.
