Was pretty scared cause Y7 classes are hard enough with core work already built in. This wasnt too bad. Only 45 minutes so some core work, a few sun salutations, more core work, a long sequence, a final core burst. Wasnt too hot, wasnt too hard, the instructor was good and worked with us which never usually happens in Y7. She also did a quick little massage during shavasana.

Sarah’s class was the toughest class I’ve very taken at Y7 (both around NYC and in LA). She had awesome, unique flow sequences and challenging modifications for advanced students. I appreciated her fast pace even during the “down time” in between flows. It felt like not a minute of class was wasted. I hope to find her on the UES schedule more often. Can’t wait to take a class with her again!

Was in the hood after work and tried this studio out for thefirst time. Nice large clean heated studio. Vinyasa flow. Clear instruction. Free bath towel and Manduku mat usage. Although matts were a bit stinky so if it bothers you bring your own. They also have yoga sticky towels for rent. $3. Filtered water fountain. Small changing area with only one bathroom no showers. They give you a cold eucalyptus towel at the end which is really refreshing. Will definitely be back.

Kaity is the yoga teacher you need and want. She gets down and practices with you, she gently reminds you to do what's best for your body each day, she corrects your form so you feel the benefits of the practice, and she does it all with a soothing and encouraging vibe that creates a supportive room. Love her class so hard.

I love Sweat and the instructor was wonderful, but I do wish the description had been a bit more specific about what kind of workout it'd be - I'm not a big fan of barre/pilates so this wasn't exactly my cup of tea. Not complaining, just a preference: it was a great workout and I'd recommend if you're looking for that!

Loved this class! Ashley was an awesome leader. The flow was challenging and very well paced. I typically don’t like hot yoga but this was at a perfect level that made me feel more flexible and invigorated. And the music was everything!! Probably not for beginners but if you already like yoga, this is such a fun and unique way to take your practice to the next level.

5 stars for Amy shes amazing BUT THIS STUDIO oh my god. Its too small you guys need to move. Nothing more relaxing then starting a class with everyone yapping...when did y7 start making this acceptable? Ive been shushed before and now everyone just talks. Trying to exit the class to go back to my life is ridiculous. I IMMEDIATELY lose my relaxed state as I exit into the studio to a sea of girls who have no idea how to be human. You guys have 10 locations and 100 teachers you have money please move locations for flatiron.

Lindsey taught a great class! Warning to beginners, she doesn't do any of the movements, just says them. So if you are unfamiliar with the basic poses, you may get a little lost. Facilities aren't anything special so don't plan on showering or getting ready for work here. I will be back though!

Michelle is by far the best Y7 instructor I’ve ever had. Previously, I only went to the East village location, the Soho location is much bigger and nicer though. Michelle combined the spiritual elements of yoga with a physical practice. She went around correcting form, and also instructed us as a class on things we were doing wrong. Playlist was amazing, also best I’ve heard at Y7. Will definitely be back!

First time at this studio. Very nice and great teacher. Super normal, which is rare for yoga lol. Very non-judge mental and easy to follow. But she did not demonstrate in the front of the room, so basic knowledge of poses is recommended. Only negative was the ceiling fan was covered in black dust. It was super gross and distracting every time I had to look up.

    Power Yoga (int)

I loved this so much. I get the mixed reviews because it's a very specific type of yoga based on what yoga was like before the gym-ification of the practice. That said, just because it's not your style doesn't mean you need to give a 1 star rating. This class is Ashtanga based but is not for people looking to get a "60 minute workout." I liked that Carlos spent 2 hours on the class. If you know going into it that it will be long and challenging it makes for a better experience. This class is not for beginners. Not that you couldn't get something out of it with little experience but I think it could get frustrating because there are handstands and arm balances (although you're all at the wall in a circle, which is so nice because you use it for inversions and you can see everyone!) It is both mentally and physically challenging, you work with other students, and you come out calm and reinvigorated.

YES Community Flow by donation (heated)

This was a great class. Yes, there were only three of us there so it might not be this way with a bigger class, but the instructor was very attentive and provided adjustments. I definitely worked up a sweat but I think that a beginner would still feel welcomed going to this class.

Hot Vinyasa - Community ($10 or your class card)

Victor is an awesome instructor! Great playlist and tough class. The community here is a little weird, though. The woman next to me moved my stuff when I got up to use the restroom before class and took one of my rental towels.

So good. Liv has a seemingly endless supply of energy and her coaching style/language is just right. I hadn’t been to the studio in a while and I love the new shower/changing room situation. The one thing I’d say that wasn’t great, is that the music was so loud it was hard to hear some of the cueing, including during the yoga portion, so I’d have to look around and see what other people were doing sometimes to figure out what I was supposed to be doing.

    Heated Flow

Great class. Heated nicely, not too much not too little. And I really enjoyed Jena's style and the flow of the class. The facilities weren't great, if you want to refill your water you have to use the bathroom sink. But I will be back for the class.
