Reid was cool. Very helpful! the space was small and very stuffy when I came in. I often had to apologize for accidentally touching someone next to me because of how cramped it was when the class was full. Reid said that he was a sub for Madeline. I'll be back either way, because I enjoyed the class.

    Beginner - Intermediate Class

It was a different experience for me! I’ve never taken jiu jitsu before or any martial arts class before. The space is small but has enough space for floor work. Everyone was kind and welcoming. The instructor was really informative and walked me through everything. Even the partner I ended up working with was teaching me and explaining the floor work and terms. I recommend not having any jewelry on when coming in such as a septum, and any nose or ear piercing jewelry in. I was told because it was a safety hazard for me which makes complete sense but I couldn’t remove my nose piercings there. I ended up having to watch them do some floor work instead of participating because of it. Next time I will come prepared!

We learned some acrobatics and really cool kicks. The class was 20 min stretching, then 20 min drills of kicks (attacks) and escapes (defense). Then we paired up to practice different sequences for 15 min. After that we practiced our lessons in a playful sparring session amongst the other class mates. This was a great strength full body workout with cardio. Regardless of ability or fitness level the instructor makes you feel comfortable and is very patient.
