Maya’s instructions were so clear, she went around to each person individually to check if people had injuries and whether we were okay with hands-on corrections, and she provided tons of hands-on and verbal corrections and cuing throughout class. see all reviewsOk so I’m giving it a bunch of stars, because I know what it’s like to be a brand new instructor. This modality specifically is probably exhausting, so I consider this very deeply. It takes a minute to develop certain skills, and that can’t happen overnight. I will say, I think they should note if it’s a BRAND new instructor to make us all aware. The mic volume was SUPER high and she was already talking pretty loud. Lol. Her rhythm was tough to get behind and her cues were a slightly late or too fast and made class generally harder to follow. Because this modality is so technical, I’m gunna need to trust the person that’s coaching me, and that felt hard to do in this class. Felt like she was going through the motions and saying some of the things she needed to say, but I’m not entirely sure it was genuinely connecting for her as the instructor. Again lots of grace given, she seemed super new, and like a sweet girl.

Define is such a great workout - one of the best I’ve had at Pure Barre! The instructor at the front desk was also extremely accomodating and gracious in helping me set up when I was rushing in at the last minute! (I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name!). The only con was that the room was a little warm, but the AC kicked in great at the end. I’ll definitely be coming back!

She is so encouraging and attentive. She gives a challenging class that encourages people to push themselves, but also reminds us to listen to our bodies and give ourselves grace. I appreciated that she shared their membership options from a neutral position - highlighting the the pros/cons of classpass vs membership. Christine was great and being a small class I felt she was able to pay attention to everyone and their form. It truly felt like a full body workout and I loved the quick transitions. Lastly, the credits per class are fair/what I would expect.
