However, I wish the split was still even; I feel like when class starts late, we still do 30+ mins of spin and then like 15-20 mins of barre. It would be nice if it was an even 25 mins of spin and 25 mins of barre.

Kylie checked in on me at each station to make sure I was understanding the exercises and has proper form. You also choose your own weights so I felt able to work at a level that felt doable for me. The class flew by and I had a great time!

You’re in a typical gym room, and they display exercises on a projector while coaching you through and keeping time so you can focus. Since so many different types of equipment are used (boxes, dynamic balls, etc) we had to get in groups of three (which was kinda a bad sign for me at first). The exercises were really well-designed and the type of bodies there were really diverse which was encouraging (like, it wasn’t just insanely fit models). Megan was great at demonstrating and correcting form.

It was really challenging so I’m not sure if it’s great for everyone, but the pacing and the variations made it really engaging and it was an amazing workout. The coach did say that some of today’s variations were out of the ordinary for a Wednesday, so other classes are a bit easier (but this was a core class and I’m not great at core so take that as you will!).
