About this studio
At MassageLab, their simple goal is to provide bodywork of superb quality and excellent value! Each of their massage therapists are hand-selected by the leadership team comprised of experienced Massage Therapists with over 30 years of combined massage experience to ensure that every customized session exceeds your expectations. Every session is unique, designed by your therapist, just for you! Simply tell them your session goals, and they'll take it from there. Your massage therapist will ask you a few questions and then create a custom plan to meet your session goals. If your goal is to be relaxed, and you've got a knot in your neck, no problem. Your session will incorporate relaxing techniques and provide detail work on your neck. Your therapist will review your custom plan with you before beginning any bodywork and make changes as appropriate. Once your custom session is planned your massage therapist will help you get comfortable and begin your massage. Your massage is comprised of a variety of different techniques like Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, stretching and more. If you don't know what any of that means, that's fine. You can feel confident that your therapist does. However, if at any time during your massage you need more pressure or less speed, or if you want the table warmer turned up, no worries. Just tell your therapist what you need, and they'll get you sorted out. MassageLab is a premier ClassPass Wellness venue. How to prepare
Please arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of your appointment in order to get settled into the space and complete any necessary paperwork at the front desk, please inform your practitioner of any medical issues, recent injuries, or surgeries. Please also note that you are reserving a specific appointment slot with an assigned practitioner at MassageLab, so if you need to cancel your reservation, please do so as early in advance as possible! What to Wear: They recommend that you wear comfortable, flexible clothes and avoid wearing jewelry, makeup, perfumes or colognes whenever possible when at MassageLab for a session. You can disrobe to your comfort level for your massage. They are happy to work through clothing if necessary. Please note that should you completely undress, only the part of your body being massaged will ever be exposed. Some therapists provide assisted stretching and may request that you keep your undergarments on to ensure your comfort when moving you in and out of stretches for the legs and lower body. Your therapist will leave the room to allow you to disrobe to your level of comfort in private. They will also step out at the end of the session to allow you to get dressed. Prenatal Massage: Massage is generally not recommended in the first trimester so please consult with your doctor before receiving a prenatal massage. Please call them at 415-660-7727 after booking a prenatal appointment so that they can set you up with a practitioner who specializes in prenatal massage. Misconduct: Any verbal or physical conduct of a sexual or aggressive nature is inappropriate during the massage; your massage practitioner will end the session if this becomes a concern. MassageLab reserves the right to limit, suspend, or terminate services in cases of, but not limited to, inappropriate or unhealthy behavior as deemed by MassageLab management in accordance with the CAMTC Code of Conduct.
