About this studio

Blackbird Fitness is the product of many years spent working in training facilities and gyms, offering programs that come close to helping everyone but actually focused on very few. It has been their desire to fill the gaps and create programs that can work for anyone. The biggest obstacle for anyone to face is the cage that they put themselves in each and every day. It takes everything in oneself to face that cage, free their self and fly from it.

Blackbird Fitness is located at 2400 East Cesar Chavez, Suite 316A in Austin, TX. They are on Pedernales even though the address says Cesar Chavez (2 doors down from Blue Owl Brewery).

I love blackbird!! Such great workouts, I’m always so sore the next day. The instructors are great at motivating and correcting form when needed. My only critique is that during the tabatas some instructors call out how many seconds you have left too often. You aren’t able to get lost in the workout, instead you are reminded of how much longer you have left (instead of being surprised with how quickly the time went by!) and it can be demotivating. I would say it would be better if they used a timer display, that way people who want to see how long is left can look but people who don’t can get lost in the workout. Or they could just tell us when there is 10 secs left instead of “35, 25, now 15, 5,4,3,2,1..”

What is ClassPass?
