It’s similar to Barry’s in how it’s formatted, but the technology is more advanced (displays exercises & timer on screen and fancier treadmill). My main area of feedback for impact in general is that they don’t offer modifications. For exercised like jump squats or burpees many people may not be able to do that based on their physical state or mental state and providing modifications helps to not only made the environment more inclusive but also helps make sure the modifications are done correctly.

(I’ve taken classes with most instructors and think Dale, Eric and Renee are all super great about that!) I felt very safe in Dale’s class because he would constantly help me make minor adjustments to perfect form / prevent injury. Highly recommend him!

They start the class with a very intentional 3-minute dynamic workout designed to prep exactly the muscles you’ll use later in the workout, then pause briefly for a thorough explainer of every circuit. The instructor had a great energy, really clear cues, and the class felt like the right level of challenging. Similar to some other reviews, I was surprised to wear sneakers on the mat and not grippy socks (felt weird wearing outdoor shoes!) and the mats felt a little close together. Overall though, the studio was really pretty (loved the colored lights!) and I got a great workout!

My only gripe with BodyRok in general is that there aren’t as many instructions on form, but Kristen was an exception. Having had rotator cuff surgery and tears in both shoulders, I really appreciated the options offered to modify each position to what works best for my body. Great class!

No hidden cardio bursts (we did do one “conditioning” exercise but it was only for a minute and focused on single-leg activation so I didn’t mind). Great instructor. Kind, funny, easy to follow. The instructor was really clear and easy to follow along with. This is a great low impact class if you’re in need of something lighter. A heads up, it’s only 30 minutes though if that matters to you.

Front desk staff was super nice and helpful, and even cheerful which was extra noticeable bc it was snowstorm and they were right by the door. The locker room lockers require a padlock but there are lockers right outside the locker room with keypad locks. Good array of equipment and everything was clean.

I used the studio on the 3rd floor to do my warm up + yoga. And then hit the machines for strength and cardio. Staff was very nice and helpful. This might just be my new go-to.
