Her transitions are seamless - and there is no rest time inbetween. The playlist is always upbeat and high energy — just like Janet. Highly recommend. #classpassinsider

see all reviewsHonestly this is my favorite class at Bodyrok! It’s the only megaformer class I can find in NYC to incorporate the jump board, which I really takes the workout up a notch. My only gripe with BodyRok in general is that there aren’t as many instructions on form, but Kristen was an exception. Having had rotator cuff surgery and tears in both shoulders, I really appreciated the options offered to modify each position to what works best for my body. Great class!

see all reviewsOkay wow I loved this class. As someone who does distance racing, it’s so nice to balance all that cardio with traditional strength training. And that’s exactly what Liftonic offers. No hidden cardio bursts (we did do one “conditioning” exercise but it was only for a minute and focused on single-leg activation so I didn’t mind). Great instructor. Kind, funny, easy to follow. see all reviewsAwesome class with a great variety of movements at every station, so I truly felt as though it was an actual total body class that hit all of the muscle groups, upper & lower. Completely different from some of the BX classes I’ve been attending recently that are very one note with only 1 movement at each station, plus the cardio component. Please continue programming these similar profiles with the multiple strength based moves added to the cardio piece. Class never got boring, tedious or monotonous, and everyone was properly challenged. It really made class fly by despite the 4 x 8 min stations because we were constantly moving through the 4 move AMRAP.

see all reviewsCoach Luis is great!! Welcoming, energetic and professional. His class was dynamic, the boxing & conditioning segments were challenging and totally do-able. We spent time on core & stability in-between the conditioning segments. The end of the class was spent one-on-one mitt work with Luis. When one person is working with Luis the rest of the class practiced the movements we learned in class on the heavy bag individually - this is pretty common in a boxing gym. Practicing the basics combos is invaluable, if you don’t execute the basics well you’re not going to level up so I thought this was great. Thank you!!!

Expect an intense and borderline soul sucking strength training class with plenty of timed lifting intervals used for a variety of lower and upper body moves such as racked squats, lunges, deadlifts, swings, sumos, gorilla rows, push presses, renegade rows, high pulls & plank work. He also tends to toss in a conditioning section with plyometric work, plus an AMRAP, then finishing with core. Please have both lifting and KB knowledge before coming because this is absolutely not a beginner class. You will sweat buckets, get breathless, work all of the muscle groups to fatigue, and you’ll be toasted by the end of the hour. I never miss a Wednesday!
