She heard me tell the front desk that it was my first time at Prime cycle, and she immediately introduced herself and gave me a wonderful tour of Prime Cycle's beautiful facility! After I had gotten ready and headed into the spin studio, she spent a few minutes helping me get set up on the bike and explained what the monitor at the front of the bike is used for. If you're in the JC/Hoboken/NYC area, you NEED to try Prime cycle! I can't await to come back every time I visit the East Coast 🤍

see all reviewsTricia‘a class was challenging in a great way! She makes an effort to know the students’ names. I liked how she not only gave verbal cues but also did some of the movements with us. My only complaint is the temperature - I wish we had more ventilation, because it gets SO HOT and SO SWEATY. I’ve been to her class three times and all three times I had to lay in child’s pose for the last 10 minutes because I get so dizzy.

see all reviewsI love lagree classes and I run regularly, so this is the best of both worlds for me. I get more strength training from the megaformer portion than Dash Strength @ MHRC. // FYI: Like Barry’s, the instructor coaches both tread + megaformer simultaneously, so they’ll be talking the whole time. see all reviewsThe thing I love about sweat 440 is that you can do your own thing and there isn’t an instructor yelling at you. The past two times I’ve been there is a new woman there who just walks around the studio yelling over and over, “You’ve got this !” and it’s very impersonal and robotic. It’s annoying me to the point that I’m getting turned off by the gym. I liked my first few experiences there where the instructors walked around to make sure you were ok & corrected if needed, didn’t just walk around yelling the same thing over and over without even really paying attention to what’s going on. I don’t think anybody really appreciates it.

see all reviewsI surprisingly really liked it! Because of the heat and the self-led parts of the class that I read about in the description, I was expecting something like y7 (which I really don’t like). But the Align class was still pretty instructor-led and Maeve was easy to hear over the music. TBD if I’d come back for a Flow, but I’ll definitely be back for this one.

see all reviewsCoach Luis is great!! Welcoming, energetic and professional. His class was dynamic, the boxing & conditioning segments were challenging and totally do-able. We spent time on core & stability in-between the conditioning segments. The end of the class was spent one-on-one mitt work with Luis. When one person is working with Luis the rest of the class practiced the movements we learned in class on the heavy bag individually - this is pretty common in a boxing gym. Practicing the basics combos is invaluable, if you don’t execute the basics well you’re not going to level up so I thought this was great. Thank you!!!

see all reviewsThe meat of Daniella’s class was really, really great. I would prefer a much shorter intro before class and no debrief after class. I found the intro to be repetitive and intense (I don’t need to hear a sample scream and I think she could demonstrate the concepts while teaching in the actual class instead of teaching techniques before getting started. In a yoga class poses are taught in real time not at the beginning to prep, and I’d like to see that approach here as I see in other meditation and breath work classes). The intro took at least 4x too long and unfortunately the debrief after class took me from being relaxed to being a bit more stressed again hearing about her love of breath work and listening to others’ experiences and debating with myself whether or not to share about my (truly wonderful) experience. Overall I highly recommend but I think there is room for improvement <3
