As a sort of advanced beginner have taken classes at several of the popular spots: from Integral and Iyengar to hot yoga at CorePower, Y7, Fierce Grace, and the yoga inspired class at Physique 57 to great effect, however, if I could chose only one or two—conbody yoga is a keeper and refreshing upstart in the yoga community. She also made sure to correct us about the little details of poses, such as feet, hands, etc. The one thing I didn’t like was that basically as soon as the class was over people for the next class immediately came in, which really made me feel rushed to get my mat and things up. see all reviewsI was so nervous to go because I thought the heat would be too much. It was the perfect amount of hot. It was beautiful dry heat that lent itself to the perfect conditions for warming up my muscles. The class was SO RELAXING AND ZEN. It was more of a mental workout than anything. I had to try hard to remain focused on being in the moment and pulling myself back when my thoughts ran away. The actual moves were slow and soft. I throughly enjoyed it and loved the instructor. I will definitely be back. This class is perfect for anyone who is interested in trying heated workouts.

Instructor knew most yogis by name and encouraged them directly which set a nice sense of community. Challenging but supportive cueing. Props and blankets available. Water, too. Anna has a similar style which is not a power/vinyasa class, more slow, concentrated, a lot of stretching type moves, the type of yoga that I want to be practicing to help alleviate and open my body. Did I ask myself multiples time during this class, “Why didn’t you just sleep in on this beautiful Sunday?” Yes. Yes I did. But, when class was over, I deliriously was excited to come back here next Sunday. It’s not classical mat Pilates and is very HIIT/tabata focused, which I loved. Bring a water bottle, towel, and mat. They are available in studio to rent: $3 for towel, $5 for mat. Be sure to arrive early since they lock the front door for safety when class begins so no late arrivals. Come ready to sweat!
