I love the dynamic balance he brings , moments of extreme physical and mental challenge, held alongside intentional movement, breathwork, meditation, and even poems he reads to help rebalance and align body and mind. I leave class recentered every time, thanks!

see all reviewsHonestly did not expect this to be such a hard workout but I mean that in a good way! I sweat so much. I loved the push ups & ankle weights. I would politely suggest that someone dust the fan towards the back of the room - it is cakes with thick dust and that can’t be good to breathe in. Also the toilet seat was covered in period blood underneath :/ I felt too weird to say that to the instructor in person and it was not from me or I would have cleaned it up.

see all reviewsThe studio was serene and immaculate. I had a wonderful time in the playground class with Spencer. I have been taking Pilates mat and reformer on and off for >30 years but I have never seen the toys that were featured in this class. A kind of missile with handgrips which challenges your balance and core and TRX were among my favorites. The teacher was chill and magnetic and made helpful corrections in the class. Recommend!

see all reviewsDid the Sunday morning Ashtanga express and enjoyed it! It’s described as the fundamentals and think that’s accurate - beginners would feel welcome here but someone who has done Ashtanga before would still enjoy the pared down primary sequence and getting to skip jump backs and forwards if desired. Carlotta was lovely and very encouraging, offering assists and advice throughout. It might not be intense enough for a hardcore Ashtangi, but for the rest of us it was a wonderful start to a Sunday

So essentially 3/4 of a full Hyrox race. Just be aware this programming is not for beginners. I’ve done 2 full solo races and thought the class was hard. Didn’t actually finish the full 2 rounds. I don’t think anyone in the class did. Luis was a fantastic instructor who gave great tips to everyone. I would recommend for experienced Hyrox racers or very fit people. see all reviewsShe is the best instructor I've taken with at Kala. I have had yoga with a few others as well and they were wonderful! Allysa is like a calming drill sergeant. I believe it's because she is really present with her students and can sense when they need that extra, "you're stronger than you think" or "it's okay to choose lower weights if you need that right now". She remembers everyone's name. She notices the small things like if you are trying to knit your lower rib cage together while not even being cued. I mean teachers talk about this a lot in cues but do they really see when you are doing it on your own? It's subtle. I think her years as a professional dancer have helped shape the teacher she is now. The class she designed has an amazing playlist and the short circuits are perfectly tailored so you don't get burnt out by too long of reps in one area. This class is part of why I joined class pass and I hope it stays.
