Only Pilates class I could find on Saturday at 6 but the instructor was fantastic! She radiated positive vibes and enthusiasm. CORE & CARDIO Sculpt Full Body

Honestly this is my favorite class at Bodyrok! It’s the only megaformer class I can find in NYC to incorporate the jump board, which I really takes the workout up a notch. My only gripe with BodyRok in general is that there aren’t as many instructions on form, but Kristen was an exception. Having had rotator cuff surgery and tears in both shoulders, I really appreciated the options offered to modify each position to what works best for my body. Great class!

First time, was the only one there at 7p (in btw Xmas and NYE, hence unusual attendance), but still a great experience. Cole still held class, made me feel super comfortable and had great energy / knowledge. Workout seemed oriented on a series of sets, usually with an EMOM anchoring the middle, not quite HIIT but there’s something in each set to make sure the heart rate stays up. Class would be tough if it’s your first time EVER working out, but still very accessible if you say do some dumbbell/kettlebell strength and cycling/HIIT type classes elsewhere - but want to extend your skill set w/ say basic lifting.

If I could only take one class for the rest of my life it would be this one. Dino is an amazing, encouraging and kind instructor/owner, the staff is so friendly and the studio is clean, welcoming and comfortable. The class itself is intense but manageable and modifiable, plus the music makes me forget I’m exercising at all. I’ve always been intimidated by Pilates classes until now, albeit the class is a perfect mix of strength, barre, cardio, and yoga/stretching. I also appreciate how much time is dedicated to stretching throughout, which I find critical to safe practice and is lacking in a lot of other studio classes.

This is one of the best ashtanga yoga practices in the city. I’ve been to spirit lab, sui, fierce grace, new love city, Brooklyn yoga project, humming puppy, etc and practice all types of yoga, and I can say that this is one of the most calming, naturally-beautiful studios in Manhattan. There’s a garden that you can shower in- check it out after a day time class. The thing about ashtanga for yogis is that it’s almost like ballet for dancers… you need this to build a foundation. Even if you’re an experienced yogi, you should come and see how you feel after you practice. Notice the difference in your mood, nervous system, etc after this class vs some of the faster-paced vinyasa classes. Would highly reco checking it out and coming with an open mind!

    ThreeForm Sculpt

Amazing class with Kasey! This was harder than I expected, with lots of balancing and super slow, controlled movements. I'll definitely be sore tomorrow! I always prefer a slow, focused workout over loud music and a stressful environment, and this was perfect.

    CORE

Really liked the instructor, she was funny and channeling positive vibes. Class is gentle in nature and an energizing hybrid of yoga + core work. It was the perfect way to start the day, just dont go in framing the class as your workout of the day if youre looking for something strenuous.
