I was extremely exhausted coming to class today but this class made me feel more energized. Love how the end of class Sophia sang and played notes from a piano looking thing. It was very meditative and soothing to the nervous system.

see all reviewsMay Mei is a great teacher. Arise opened a new studio room downstairs and it's definitely different than their one upstairs with windows and plant... it gives polished dungeon vibes and unfortunately there's tons of columns that obstruct the view to the teacher. In Iyengar we use the walls often - and there are brick walls or candles on the regular walls... I hope Arise considers this

see all reviewsI always appreciate Carolyn’s heart shares. Today the theme was observing the monkey mind…the vritti as in yogas chitta vritti nirodh. Today it started out slow, but with a purpose to observe the mind. I would have preferred a full on strong flow but I understood the theme and purpose so I went with it. Towards the middle of class we got into more of what I’m accustomed to in her classes - longer holds at first sequence and then repeating the sequence breath to breath. It was more of a chillaxing flow at first today put together by the meaningful heart share.
