About this class

RedBird Body Engineering classes apply the alignment knowledge and muscle patterns taught in the Pilates program to innovative, full-body toning exercises. Using proven toning principles – such as high repetition, light-weight, long-lever movements, Body Engineering focuses on the smaller muscles that are not often accessed in traditional strength training or everyday life. These muscles include the deep internal and external rotators of the hip and shoulder, the transversus abdominus, and the deep spinal extensors. These muscles are not only crucial for supporting and protecting the joints and spine, but also help create a defined, toned physique by lifting the glutes, pulling the skin tight to the musculature of the arms, legs, and stomach, adding striations to shoulders, and creating strength without bulk.
