About this studio

Rō Fitness is an interval-based, uniquely-challenging indoor (sometimes outdoor) rowing class. You're on the rowing machine the whole time, so you'll enjoy an incredible full-body cardio workout without the impact on your joints. This class has a one of a kind view, overlooking Lady Bird Lake as you sweat! Machines are outside on the balcony if the temps are dry and between 50 and 85. Head's up: There is no dedicated parking, so please plan ahead! Check our website for parking tips. rofitness.com Rō Fitness is founded by rowers, so you can be sure to get properly acquainted with correct rowing technique in each class. If you're new to Rō, arrive 5 minutes early so your coach can give you a proper introduction to the class details.

How to prepare

Wear athletic shoes and socks. Bring a water bottle and a towel. Avoid excessively baggy clothing. Showers: We have 4 showers for guys, 4 for girls. BYOS (Bring your own stuff -- towel, soap, etc.) Parking: Plan ahead. There is no dedicated lot, but they are on the Hike & Bike Trail. Parking tips can be found on our site, rofitness.com/locations

How to get there

Classes are held on the top floor of Waller Creek Boathouse in downtown Austin, right along the Hike & Bike Trail. Enter through the southwest entrance of the Waller Creek Boathouse. They share the boathouse with Alta's Cafe (upstairs), Congress Avenue Kayaks (downstairs) and the Austin Rowing Club (upstairs and downstairs). Plan ahead for downtown parking! There is no dedicated parking lot. Reliable parking can be found at the metered spots at 600 River St.

My favorite place to workout. A few visits and the other clients and instructors are are your workout crew. The environment is always friendly and motivating. You are your own competition, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself getting motivated by your new friends.

Amazing atmosphere - it was outside just around sunset and the weather was perfect. Chelsea was really helpful when it came to correcting form and was encouraging during the workouts. The class is small so you can meet your classmates between rounds and after class. The workout was SO challenging because of the goals you’re always trying to beat - which was just your previous performance. I worked up a sweat fast but had a great adrenaline high after!

What is ClassPass?
