Class was amazing. Jessica was awesome and encouraging. Left dripping in sweat

So I was disappointed to find out when I got there that this was a pump class when I signed up/expected to be going to a boost class so I was not a fan of that because there was intention in the class that I spoke. It's only because I liked Jess that I am giving this more than 2 stars. She told me that boost is on tuesdays and Thursday's so I'll come back to try out the class that I actually wanted to experience. Pump was cool but it's just not the class for me. If you're into pure strength training then you'll probably like it

Jess was a great instructor!

The instructor wasn't Jen Rufo like it says here. It was my first time at this class and this gym. Expected more from a "flagship" location, especially given the high caliber of classes/instructors at NYSC Lab formerly known as BFX studio. Among other things, the equipment was unorganized and messy, the male instructor didn't do a great job of explaining the flow of the class nor the individual exercises and proper form. It seemed more like a strength building & upper body class than cardio/abs as indicated in the description. He seemed to be making things up and didn't follow what was written on the whiteboard. It was strange and poorly executed, I wouldn't recommend for beginners who want to learn proper form or for anyone who wants a safe and challenging workout tbh. Hopefully they will improve over time.

such an awesome new class. challenging with possible modifications to make it even more challenging. lots of fun toys to play with. great coaching and motivating instruction.

Happy to see a strength training class that incorporates the Olympic bars and a heavy weight/low rep scheme. That being said, there wasn't much instruction on how to do the exercises for anyone who was new to the equipment. Class was also only 45 minutes even though it says 1 hour on CP.

Amazing!! Such a good workout.

I really like the layout of the space, and I think I like the format of the class-- but then again, the class I signed up for turned out to be an instagram meetup, and it was overbooked by at least 6 people. Space was tight and people were taking photos/videos on their phones during the class... not exactly a comfortable workout environment
RZ Pump
Think today was the first time it was open to CP so figured I'd write a review. Great performance space with an intense class for two advanced athletes (even in an NYSC box, I know). Worked full body with KBs, DBs, and Olympic bars and finished with thrusters and box jumps
