About this studio

Surf inspired fitness on South Lamar! We offer 8 different classes for all fitness levels ranging from Bootcamp and Strength Training to Barre and Yoga and want new City Surfers to try them all! These classes are all conducted on indoor surfboards! We incorporate our boards, kettle bells, resistance bands, and hand weights into our classes to provide a full body workout!

How to prepare

To prepare wear regular workout clothes, bring a pair of socks (optional but HIGHLY recommended), a water bottle, a yoga mat (also optional) and your smile! All of City Surf's classes are conducted on indoor surfboards so be prepared to have fun, work hard, and experience a fantastic workout. If you are new please arrive 15 minutes early so their staff can help you set up!

How to get there

City Surf is located in the retail section of Post South Lamar Apartment Building. There is ample retail parking located on the south side of the building near their restaurant neighbor Barlata. Parking is available in the retail area. City Surf's storefront is on South Lamar with a big white and blue neon sign.

City Surf - Butt & Legs with Liz
It was alright. It’s essentially a Pilates class on a surfboard that’s balanced on 3 medicine balls and mine leaned to the right the whole time. The music stopped working so we took a long break while she fixed it. It was challenging enough but not what I thought it would be. The scented moist towel at the end was nice.

Cool class - I think it’s something that actually gets harder once you get the hang of it and have figured out the surf board/balance aspect. I’ll definitely be back!

loved the instructor. loved the class! being on the bored really makes you work your core and use your stability skills

This was FUN! It wasn’t the most intense and it’s hard to do some exercises if you don’t have the balance but it go my heart rate up and also had some yoga aspects of the class. Not super intense tho if that’s what you’re looking for.

What is ClassPass?
