Marinna was highly motivating and a challenging instructor. Really enjoyed this class and her energy. It was my first time at Barre Belle and I would go again. We didn't actually use the bar, which I'm not mad about. Use of steps, booty band, mat and medicine balls. Lots of lunges. Music was good and studio was clean. LOVED the added touch at the end where they gave us complimentary cold towels (lemongrass scent was a nice bonus) considering how much you sweat in the class.

This class was really challenging and pushed me throughout, but I felt amazing at the end! I enjoyed that it was simplified into two rounds (20 minutes of treadmill and 20 minutes of weight training). That being said, I do wish that there was a stretch component built in for a few minutes at the end.

    Warm Hatha

It was a nice class (hence 5 stars) but it was what most studios would refer to as a vinyasa class (lots of flows/chaturgungas, continuous movement, linked postures, repetition of sequences, somewhat cardiovascular) as opposed to hatha, so a bit unexpected when you’re going in with hatha in mind. Would be nice to see more of a delineation between the two, as where my body was at that day I deliberately chose a hatha (I know technically all asana is hatha but not usually what it refers to in North America these days!).
