So many of the lockers are spoilt now and with the high traffic now with the pilates class, it’s extremely difficult to even find a working locker. Definitely not going to leave my belongings unlocked especially when there has been a theft case in the recent past.

see all reviewsGood class. Clear instructions and Lishan made sure to demo some of the non-standard variations. Plenty of options to adapt the postures to your own practice level and the sequences are interesting enough although I felt that some transitions were a bit clunky and didn't flow well therefore distracting from the rhythm of the class. Still enjoyable all in all.

see all reviewsFirst class with Megan, and I would say she's one of the better teachers at YM. Class was well planned with a good mix of postures and a lot of options to adjust them to your personal practice level. Lots of opportunities to practice more advanced skills. I don't think I have been to a class with as many arm balance and inversion poses as this one - crow, EPK, dragonfly, side crow, pincha, headstand, tripod and even a chance to have a go at handstands! Obviously, it is quite an intense class, but perfect for more advanced yogis who are looking for a challenge.

see all reviewsAs an instructor myself, this is one of the more unique classes I’ve been to. The sequence was extremely well thought out with each pose intentionally set, all nicely leading up to the peak poses. However, I would not recommend this class to anyone who is not familiar with vinyasa at all because v few cues were given. There were also no modifications/options given for injuries and one of the students had to watch the rest for a major part of the class. Would’ve also appreciated a longer warmup and cool-down but nevertheless I would book back in! :)

He stopped clapping after a while. I would say the class is beginner friendly because you just have to do what you can. I felt that was no judgment from him, which I appreciated. I enjoyed the pace of the class, which was faster in the beginning and slower towards the end. There are two bathrooms to shower at - they are small but functional for a quick shower.

Sadly I was -again- next to people snoring, not just this time but also last time. Instructor says that those people apparently really need a deep sleep and doesn’t wake them up.. I wish this was different as it can be disturbing for other participants and I know other places do wake up participants. Since all senses are closed off, except for sound, so it’s very hard to focus on the sound healing. I might bring earplugs if I come next time, and if someone on one side is snoring, I can put 1 earplug in.. 😅
