Leg Day
see all reviewsJob’s leg day classes are always good. The warm up is helpful and he leads a cool down when there’s time and the class is larger. He’s attentive and encouraging especially at the end when we lose motivation! He checks form but if you want more specific help you have to advocate for yourself. Great class every time!

see all reviewsTBH not sure what to think. Four stars is giving grace because the teacher said she was a sub and she had no mic. I had an opening in my schedule and credits to burn today, so I spent more credits on this class than any other I have scheduled thru class pass, but I have frankly never felt less welcome at a new studio or more lost trying a new workout. I had never used a reformer before which I shared at the outset of class, but there was little to no guidance or information given about use of the equipment, safety, or proper form. It was 99% sink or swim as a new student. The teacher also seemed deeply unhappy/annoyed to be there and gave minimal energy or effort. She did provide a few cues when I was struggling but I had to ask a couple times and she seemed even more annoyed that I didn’t automatically understand the exercise. Maybe she was upset about a late notice sub assignment, or really tired, or maybe they treat their instructors poorly here, IDK. Everyone has bad days! But it would have been nice to have any kind of intro or primer on what everything was called. Despite hearing a lot about how much more of a workout reformers provided, I didn’t feel challenged physically, perhaps because the exercises weren’t explained so I was just doing whatever. I mostly had to look at other students to figure out what to do, and one fellow student did offer help showing me what gear was what, which was lovely. The girl next to me was new too and at one point we just looked at each other and started laughing because we had no idea what the teacher meant with the terms used. And let me say I am not new to Pilates, but had only done mat Pilates before. I had the impression going in that CP is a soulless corporate joint, and this didn’t shift my view much, but maybe that is some people’s jam? With that said, it is hard to find good Pilates around here and this place is five minutes from home so I might try again sometime, just maybe roll the dice on a different instructor. 🫤
