    The class flies by bc you do so many different exercises. It’s mostly low impact and mostly abs but he throws in a few minutes of calisthenics to get the heart rate up- just be warned for that. I love Ethan’s energy and think he’s an up and coming instructor who clearly loves what he does. I’d encourage him to give more hands on correction for form, and to talk a little less. His words will have more purpose and power if he chooses them more wisely (right now he talks he whole time). A really great sweat and efficient workout!

    This class is good for people who want a total body strength workout. It's in circuits and everyone has their own station which is nice. I liked Jenna a lot she was nice and not intimidating.     Ben is so great. He talks about form in a really helpful way, in order to help you become more efficient. Also he speaks in his normal voice, which I'm finding is becoming more and more of a rarity with flywheel instructors- so many of them are talking in this husky Susan Powter voice that is not only weird but also makes it so difficult to understand the cues. But not Ben! Ben is boss. Clear, warm, energetic, fun!

    This is the best class there. The other classes feel like to are just paying for a treadmill. This is mostly running but then a good about the if kettlebell however I do wish there was a bit more encouragement and push in class but that’s just the inner me wanting a boot camp type class .

    One of the most challenging classes I have ever taken but Ashlea was amazing with encouragement, good music and help correcting form. Ashlea also provides more challenging more for more advanced but as a basic Physique 57 goer I did fine. I will definitely be looking to take more classes with her and specifically the FIT one.

    One of the top 10 classes that I've had here - the 5 minute chipper was an intense way to begin after the warmup, then we had a 16 min 6 station circuit & a 4 min FHIX, followed by a 3 min FHIX. I literally splayed out on the floor once we finished. That said, these workouts are what you make of them - if you choose light weights or don't go hard, you're not gonna have the same response once class is over. You should be dripping in sweat and barely able to walk down the stairs.

    Was pretty scared cause Y7 classes are hard enough with core work already built in. This wasnt too bad. Only 45 minutes so some core work, a few sun salutations, more core work, a long sequence, a final core burst. Wasnt too hot, wasnt too hard, the instructor was good and worked with us which never usually happens in Y7. She also did a quick little massage during shavasana.

    I attended Cailins class at 6am on a Friday and it was an awesome way to start the weekend. She's super smooth but motivating.     This was my first boxing class, which I mentioned when I checked in & the studio manager and class instructor, Mike, were both great about giving me instruction. Awesome hip-hop playlist - Mike had us matching our moves with the music tempo. Super sweaty workout with great intensity. Boxing drills mixed w some plyo metrics and ab work at the end. Find a partner who is at your level. I recommend getting to class early because there was a line to get our hands wrapped. Also, be prepared to purchase wraps $10-15. Gloves and mats were still sweaty from previous users, but I'm not a germophobe.

    Sarah’s class was the toughest class I’ve very taken at Y7 (both around NYC and in LA). She had awesome, unique flow sequences and challenging modifications for advanced students. I appreciated her fast pace even during the “down time” in between flows. It felt like not a minute of class was wasted. I hope to find her on the UES schedule more often. Can’t wait to take a class with her again!

At the beginning of the class, the instructor showed us how to do different boxing moves before we started on the bags, unlike other studios I have been to. Think of it as a lightly heated restorative yoga class where you hold a each position for about 2 minutes with the use of props (blocks/sandbags/blanket) to help you really open up into it. Pilates is always a toss up for me bc I have a spinal fusion and I have some limitation in what I can do, but I was able to talk to the instructor before class and she was super helpful and helped make suggestions for modifications. One of the best in months due to its variety of movements, timing breakdown + longevity: 4 stations, 3 moves at each done AMRAP style for 4 mins, :30 rest, then 3 mins :30 rest, then a 2 min sprint of the cardio move (run, row, bike, prison step ups). We covered sumo DL, goblet squats, burpees, box jumps, chest press, v ups, push-ups, plate GTO, overhead plate lunges + jump switch lunges.     Chest, Back & Abs (60 Minutes)

    My first time going and it was really great. Matt was encouraging and thorough. I'm not a very good runner so i was a bit apprehensive about doing intervals but it was a very motivating environment. Great staff, too. Very warm and welcoming. Will def go back.
