    VMA Belt Class

Mr. Bernard is a great teacher, his lessons are creative and he knows how to tailor and structure classes to different levels of experience within the group. One thing I miss at Valor in general is the intensity of other kickboxing classes. I'd welcome a quick burst/set of burpees, crunches, pushups between exercices to keep the energy level high and the workout more rewarding. Sometimes the classes feel more like a PE class than a kickboxing level workout. You guys are great and hope to train with you for some time to come, but would definitely welcome some overall intensity.

    Atmananda Yoga Sequence (Vinyasa)

One of the most unique yoga classes I’ve ever attended. Good for intermediate (vs beginner) yogis in terms of physical poses & instruction, which was pretty quickly & uniquely directed. Special mats with lines to help with alignment in poses. Instructor (Tamayo) assisted many with alignment which was great and Dharma talk/messages were good for any level and not typical of most yoga studios. If I were to use one word to describe the place and practice I would say Austere, which works for some who can’t find it other places (other than maybe Bikram ha). I like the Jiujitsu instructions by a purple belt Jon. He is patient and helpful. The facility is spacious and clean. The womens locker is bare minimal.
