Class was fine! I brought my own gloves and wraps. It was super loud in there so would recommend earplugs. The instructor doesn’t give individualized attention because everything is happening so fast. I appreciated using the showers after and they are quite stocked with towels and product.

Great full body workout using dumbbells and bodyweight. Class consisted of 3 circuits, each circuit had 5 workouts-3 strength, 1 cardio and 1 core (done three times through). Expect to do squats, lunges, planks, tricep extensions, bicep curls, jumping jacks, skiers etc.

I’m a trainer, and I found this class a really good check up for anyone on kettlebell form. Was worried it could be too introductory - and it was def not. Challenging in a good way - def more strength than cardio.

I like the 38th street location wayy better than 54th st. The bathrooms, lockers and sauna are modern and super clean. I went at 11am on Thursday and it was empty. I used the studio on the 3rd floor to do my warm up + yoga. And then hit the machines for strength and cardio. Staff was very nice and helpful. This might just be my new go-to.

Just like old times at Exceed! Such a thorough, full hour class with multiple sections, starting with a dynamic warmup, then a 12 min EMOM, 4 songs worth of various strength & conditioning movements (goblet squat holds to press; football shuffle; banded tap outs/squats, banded Glute bridge work), a 15 min chipper, 3 rounds of targeted shoulder work, then a core finisher.

I thought I was in shape until this class. I usually work out 3 days a week doing HIIT classes, but this one kicked by butt. Super fast paced class with no breaks.! Expect to do high reps counts of exercises like lunges, squats, deadlifts, rows, tricep extensions etc with weights in hand and cardio bursts of jumping jacks, high knees, burpees, skiers and squat jumps. FYI, no locks for lockers so you have to bring your own or find a place to stash it in the workout studio room. Class size tonight was around 25 people.

Sub teacher tonight- class was 6 stations-2 exercises at each, doing each exercise at the station twice (45 seconds on 15 seconds break) followed by a transition workout (planks, skaters, squat jumps) to the next station. Music wasn’t great and no warm up or cool down but it was a great and effective workout.

    Boxing HIIT

This boxing class is very legit and a great bargain on ClassPass. I did notice John wrapped several students hands, which they dont do at a lot of boxing places, so points for individualized attention. The space isnt huge, but is perfectly sized to accommodate twelve people. I liked how he referred to the punches by number versus name. The only drawback was that there was no stretch at the conclusion of class. However, thats easily remedied at home, or they have open floor space to stretch as well.
