How it works

About this class

FITNESS CLASS - HIIT (high intensity interval training) portion of the class will be 30 seconds of work 10 seconds of rest (30 minutes with no weights, explosive movements). Sculpt involves weights, slower movement, definition of muscles). Class is a level 2-3, we recommend trying a 30 minute fitness class prior to taking this class. What to bring: -Yoga Mat + Towel (Limited rentals available) -Face Towel -Water (hydrate 24 hours in advance)  and eat light 2-3 hours before class There are no late entry and please arrive 15 minutes prior to class.

How to prepare

Please bring a yoga mat and full length mat towel. All items are available to purchase and there are limited rentals at the studio as well!

How to get there

They are right beside Sina Pharmacy & Organic Juice Bar on Smithe (in between Richards and Seymour). There is plenty of metered street parking on Richards or 3 large parking lots on the same block. They are right in the middle of Granville or Yaletown skytrain stations. They do not have designated studio parking.

This was actually an awesome workout, not for the faint of heart - the instructor was great and her energy was amazing and motivating. However, i give it 3 stars bc the music was TOTALLY offensive gangster rap, played so loud it almost hurt, AND at 6am. Wow. ( And this is coming from someone who LOVES loud energetic music in a workout class.) Endless swearing, racial slurs and misogynist lyrics the entire class at 6AM was totally off-putting, not just to me but to those around me.

Kate is a wonderful teacher. Incredibly energetic and encouraging. Great class for intense cardio!

Amazing workout but they're not kidding when they say level 2/3, it's very challenging to do an intense workout in the hot room. I would love this class in a warm option.

It was a really challenging workout, I was sweating profusely mostly due to the heated room. I disliked the heat however, it made the class overly uncomfortable for me and hard to breathe / dizzy at times.

I felt really bad for the instructor as she said she was going through something. Normally the instructors at oxygen are super high energy and motivating which I really need for a 6:15 am work out! Will try again though, probably just an off day

too much people, which made the room hoter. Difficult for me

I really like Amy but this class needs more of a cardio component to be considered HIIT. Too many shoulder based exercises. I tried to make adjustments for myself without being too lit of place with the rest of the class though I noticed a lot of other participants were uncomfortable as well. Ill try this class one more time.
