About this studio

The Bar Method Denver - Cherry Creek is a barre based workout that is designed by a physical therapist to make the workout more effective and safe. Although many of The Bar Method's exercises take place at the ballet bar, the program is only partially inspired by the long, lean musculature of ballet dancers. Created by Burr Leonard, the workouts also incorporate the brief, fat-burning bursts of activity known as interval training and the muscle-shaping techniques of isometrics. Combine all this with the science of physical therapy and you get The Bar Method: an intense yet safely designed approach to exercise meant to cinch the silhouette, increase muscle definition and boost energy all day long.

How to prepare

You must wear leggings to the knee or below and socks that cover the entire foot. New Clients must arrive 15 minutes prior to class. Water must be in a bottle with a lid.

How to get there

The Bar Method is located in the heart of Cherry Creek North at 311 Steele Street, Suite 200 in Denver, Colorado. They are on the second floor of the building on the corner of 3rd and Steele. There is designated parking in the lot as well as street parking.

Bar Method with Laura
I’m not a big fan of slow workouts, yoga, or even other barre classes, but I love Bar method! The studio is charming, the staff is so helpful and welcoming, and they have the cleanest carpet I’ve seen in a public place. It’s a full-body workout that targets really specific muscles, but you have to be really intentional if you want it to be intense. I use it mostly for the great stretch and do my cardio/weight training elsewhere. Part of the “method” includes the instructors making adjustments either physically or by calling you out. Some people hate this, but everyone’s focused into their own workout, and it’s just to ensure that you’re getting the most out of the moves. Highly recommend!

Very first barre class. Katie was awesome and made sure I was always in the correct form. I know my booty will be feeling it tomorrow.

No corrections or modifications given even though I told instructor feel free to adjust my positions and told instructor about knee injury. Total waste of time and credits. Extremely disappointed in this location.

Great workout, nice studio, my issue was that the instructor did not ask if she could assist me/touch me & proceeded to quite literally shove me into various postures the whole class. Everything Else was great but the hands on assists portions need some work.

I now get the hype about bar method. The class was exceptionally structured and Leigh Ann was the best bar instructor that Ive ever had.

Mic was bad quality hard to hear , music was low as they were filming , several of the adjustments left me with the feeling I wasnt targeting the muscle. Instructor was really nice and I love how soft and forgiving the floor is in the studio.
