Iaido: Siljun Dobup-Beginner with Raab
It was a nice intro class with attention to different levels. Not much of a workout for beginners, but fun if you're interested in learning sword technique
ACL:Beginner with ACL
the greatest class I have ever taken on Class Pass or ever.
HEMA:Spear & Pole Weapons with Kenny
Teacher was kind and informative but a little distracted due to someone filming in the gym for a travel channel. The class was predominantly drills of 4-5 basic maneuvers. Overall it was nice but perhaps not exactly what I was hoping for. Only real complaint is that the studio smells strongly of dirty catbox.
ACL:Beginner with ACL
Great class and workout. The trainer was very friendly and flexible allowing us extra time for fun...aka team battles!
ACL:Beginner with ACL
Really awesome people and learned so much about a cool sport I’ve never heard of before. Before we did any weapons skills, we did a challenging workout. Then a veteran of ACL taught the newbies about weapons basics and we got some good practice in. I was the only woman in class, but felt really welcomed and included.
HEMA:Longsword-Beginner - NYHFA with Steve
Focused mostly on technique for the first class, which was great. It was a great opportunity to take it slow and actually learn about the art form.
ACL:Beginner with ACL
Very good workout and great instructions. First 40 min was like a boot camp but the instructor explained the purpose of the exercises in relation to the ACL training and this particular day no weapons but grappling was emphasized which was challenging and fun. I got 800cal in the 45 min as a reference.
ACL:Beginner with Roland
Good workout. 45 minutes was refreshing. Point system was cool
HEMA:Longsword-Beginner - NYHFA with Steve
Not a workout since it’s all technique based but will make your arms sore! Dojo’s a lil stinky but wasn’t overwhelming. ALSO there is a super friendly dojo cat!!
HEMA:Longsword-Intermediate - NYHFA with Tristan
1000 cuts and I didn’t die. ⚔️
