About this studio

First Wind delivers all of your fitness needs and more no matter your fitness level in a fun, non-intimidating environment that focuses on you and your goals. First Wind classes are unique and diverse from barre workouts to circuit training to cycling to unique mash-ups combining a variety of class types (cycle/barre, cycle/kickboxing, cycle/strength). Our cycling classes, different from any other indoor cycling classes/spin classes in Charlotte, are led on RealRyder Indoor Cycles that tilt and lean giving the fluid sensation of an outdoor bike allowing you to achieve a full body workout and burn 20% more calories than you would on a traditional stationary

How to prepare

The studio has cycling shoes for students to borrow as well as towels and water. All of these amenities are available at no charge! (Insider's Tip: The bikes MOVE!) NOTE: If a user is not present within 5 minutes of the start of class, the waitlist will open up and another member may claim that seat.

How to get there

(Please note: First Wind Cycling & Fitness's entrance can be accessed from Hawkins St. It is located in the alley between the brick Design Center buildings)

Really cool class. Great workout super fast.

Instructor needs work on the barre portion of class. Too fast and lack of attention to form.
Ride to the Circuit with Liz
The instructors did not help me get settled on my bike. The instructor of class was not motivating and leaned against the wall during the circuit part of the class. She also seemed to be on her phone a good bit. Not as personal, encouraging, and rewarding as other classes I have participated in on Class Pass.

Hi there! I'm so sorry to hear you didn't have the best experience possible with us. This does not sound like the typical experience at our studio, so I hate to hear it. Our instructor that day was using her phone during the second half of your class that day as a timer for the circuit workout. We've spoken to her to make sure we are all using an actual timer so this is not the impression that we give. We hope you will come back to see us and give us the opportunity to show you what we are all about!

The instructor was very encouraging and upbeat! It was a judge free zone. The staff helped us fast since it was a little hard to find the place.

Kristen gave me my first barre experience and she didnt disappoint! It was challenging and definitely kicked my butt, but it was rewarding after pushing through. I will definitely be back!

What is ClassPass?

ClassPass is a new kind of gym membership that grants you access to thousands of different classes at studios and gyms in your city and around the world.

Price of membership depends on your plan type and city, and you can book and explore classes ranging from yoga to barre to cycling to martial arts – the options are truly endless!

The number of classes you can take and the number of times you can visit a studio per month depends on which plan you're on. You can figure out which plan you're on by going to your Account Settings and looking under 'Your current plan.' With hundreds of studios in our ever-growing network, you're bound to always find a new class to enjoy. When your cycle renews, you can go back and revisit those favorites yet again!
