About this studio

First Wind delivers all of your fitness needs and more no matter your fitness level in a fun, non-intimidating environment that focuses on you and your goals. First Wind classes are unique and diverse from barre workouts to circuit training to cycling to unique mash-ups combining a variety of class types (cycle/barre, cycle/kickboxing, cycle/strength). Our cycling classes, different from any other indoor cycling classes/spin classes in Charlotte, are led on RealRyder Indoor Cycles that tilt and lean giving the fluid sensation of an outdoor bike allowing you to achieve a full body workout and burn 20% more calories than you would on a traditional stationary

How to prepare

The studio has cycling shoes for students to borrow as well as towels and water. All of these amenities are available at no charge! (Insider's Tip: The bikes MOVE!) NOTE: If a user is not present within 5 minutes of the start of class, the waitlist will open up and another member may claim that seat.

How to get there

(Please note: First Wind Cycling & Fitness's entrance can be accessed from Hawkins St. It is located in the alley between the brick Design Center buildings)

Circuit with Gabby
Great class! Don’t let the 30 minutes fool you- this is a tough workout! Gabby is so sweet and made me feel very welcome! She was great in working out alongside the group and correcting form as needed.

Great class and studio! Love the non-judgemental and laid-back (maybe non-intimidating is a better word) vibe of the studio. Class is great as a 50/50 cycling and circuit workout. I love this class as a great cross-training day.

This class was the perfect mix of cardio and cycling in one. The instructor, Bethany was fantastic - she knew everyone by name (even a first timer like me!) and was very upbeat and positive. As a runner, this type of class is a great cross trainer!

Feels like there is always some type of technical issue with the projector...
Response from the studio:
Unfortunately, last week our projector did breathe its last breath. Sometimes, things like this happen with technology and lamentably, it's beyond our control, but the old guy was replaced immediately with a brand new shiny projector that's rocking our world now! We aren't sure what other incidents you might be referring to, but we hate if your ride with us was affected by this particular incident. Please come back to see us and check out our new tech. It's pretty great!

What is ClassPass?

ClassPass is a new kind of gym membership that grants you access to thousands of different classes at studios and gyms in your city and around the world.

Price of membership depends on your plan type and city, and you can book and explore classes ranging from yoga to barre to cycling to martial arts – the options are truly endless!

The number of classes you can take and the number of times you can visit a studio per month depends on which plan you're on. You can figure out which plan you're on by going to your Account Settings and looking under 'Your current plan.' With hundreds of studios in our ever-growing network, you're bound to always find a new class to enjoy. When your cycle renews, you can go back and revisit those favorites yet again!
