About this studio

Balanced Pilates offers the very best in Pilates training at multiple locations throughout NYC. We provide expert Pilates instruction in private, duet and class settings using state-of-the-art Balanced Body equipment. ​ Balanced Pilates on the Lower East Side is located directly across from Seward Park on Essex Street. This beautifully equipped studio is truly a neighborhood fitness oasis. Our highly qualified instructors are passionate about creating effective workouts that are both fun and challenging for clients at any level. All classes and sessions at Balanced Pilates are designed to increase strength and flexibility as well as improve posture and balance.

How to prepare

All classes run 55 minutes. ​ Classes can be scheduled up 4 hours before a desired time. ​​ Clients will not be permitted to join a class if they more than 10 minutes late. ​ Socks must be worn in the studio.

Marie is a doll! She paid attention to the fact that I was sore from previous workouts so she gave me great advice throughout the session. She was also very encouraging especially when there were movements I couldn’t do. Her personality is very vibrant and her delivery is delightful! She made us all want to sing!

What is ClassPass?

ClassPass is a new kind of gym membership that grants you access to thousands of different classes at studios and gyms in your city and around the world.

Price of membership depends on your plan type and city, and you can book and explore classes ranging from yoga to barre to cycling to martial arts – the options are truly endless!

The number of classes you can take and the number of times you can visit a studio per month depends on which plan you're on. You can figure out which plan you're on by going to your Account Settings and looking under 'Your current plan.' With hundreds of studios in our ever-growing network, you're bound to always find a new class to enjoy. When your cycle renews, you can go back and revisit those favorites yet again!
