She also had a great playlist! I love when the music syncs with the number of reps. I would recommend arriving about 10 minutes early to get a good spot. This particular class uses mats, weights and resistance bands, all of which were provided but if you prefer using your own mat I’d bring it.

The class starts with warm-up and ends with a cool down with a center section that builds up to choreography with a different theme every week. It’s a blend of fitness meets dance and seems very beginner friendly. Shoes-wise: Non-marking indoor sneakers, dance sneakers or any dance (ballet, jazz, etc) would work but you probably don’t want a big heel for this. Perfect active recovery that still breaks a sweat.

The workouts are challenging, but in a good way. The instructors are upbeat and take the time to let you know if you need to adjust something (especially Erin). It’s okay to modify if needed, but they also encourage you to use heavier weights when appropriate. I wish there was a Salt Fitness in Phoenix!
