It was incredible how observant he was of everyone, checking-in kindly with people who needed to adjust their form (or needed help with the equipment). Also, I don’t know if this is the norm for the SLU location, but I was impressed that he took the time to say our names at the start, during, and end of class. I usually go to MOOV but Matty’s class today made me want to start taking more classes here!

see all reviewsEnded up being a great class. In the first ten or so minutes there were almost zero exercise corrections, and I felt it was kind of a figure-it-out-by-yourself type of workout. After those first minutes though, the instructor started offering both big and small corrections and the class became REALLY good.

see all reviewsThe studio is beautiful and clean. I’ve never done Gyrotonic or Pilates before but the instructor made it very approachable. The exercise is a much needed stretch and relaxation after other heavy workouts. It’s very doable even if you are not as flexible or not as active, or during your period. I will return for more classes for sure.

see all reviewsI wasn’t sure about the HIIT title of the class because I have a bad ankle and tend to avoid jumping, but the pacing was great and just a bit faster than their other Pilates focused class. Ellen is a wonderful instructor with positive and chill energy.

see all reviewsThis is definitely a legit Joseph Pilates-style class. Not the new style of megaformer-type “Pilates” you’ll find at other studios in the area. The teaching style is super nuanced. You might leave class feeling like you “didn’t do anything”, but if you follow the cues and keep showing up, you’ll catch on. Agree it’s a bit tricky for beginners.
