see all reviewsOverall great class! Excellent instructions and cueing, I would say the best for that studio. Her style is more bootcampish and rigid which I don’t mind but need to balance with some smiles and encourage the workout to be fun too.

see all reviewsChloe is a great instructor and dancer! She gives cues and encouragement! Full out is the same dances as signature with some extra foot work mixed in. Definitely for people who are familiar with dancebody dances or you will be lost. Great cardio / sweat sesh. Lots of bouncing/ jumping so be prepared for your calves to be sore!

see all reviewsYvette is a great instructor. Sharp moves and calls out moves. I really don’t like how they let people come late into class it’s really disruptive. They also always come in and film u for their personal IG while u look yucks. Not everyone wants to be insta- famous and appreciates privacy. Maybe ask before u do it to make sure everyone in the class wants to be filmed.

see all reviewsMy first time. Class wasnt as hard as I thought it was going to be, mean the dance moves werent that hard to follow but the cardio wasnt as intense as I had hoped. For the full body class, the cardio portions were interspersed with strengthening segments on par with a barre class. Overall the class was actually really fun and I look forward to returning for a full dance cardio class. Celine was great. I do have to say I appreciate finally going to one of these classes and having an instructor of color and different body shape than waif-y and white (looking at you, pure barre).

see all reviewsI took my 1st Sports Barre class with Jacey yesterday. I didn't really know what to expect but happy I went. It was a tough but fun workout. Today I feel soreness everywhere. It was a total body workout with mix of cardio, dance and strength training. Mats and resistance bands were used. Expect to do lunges, planks, push ups and more. Jacey was very energetic and in excellent shape. She also came around to do corrections. Too cool to work out with a former Rockette. Very friendly and encouraging. Great music, nice staff. Very nice, clean and modern studio They provide towels and lockers. Tiny parking lot so if unable to park there, go to municipal lot and they will reimburse you.

see all reviewsStephanie is a gem! The class is the perfect balance of challenging choreography and fun. No one takes themselves too seriously at Joffrey, which I love. It may not be as advanced as other intermediate classes in the city, but I'm not trying to become a prima, so that's fine by me. The facilities could be better/cleaner but it doesn't sway me. I've been coming for 10+ years and many others have as well. Joffrey is a New York institution.

see all reviewsSean Scantlebury's class was fun and challenging. He got us dancing and sweating. He did a good job of breaking down his interesting choreography so that it was doable for beginners. I normally dislike floorwork, but he made it palatable and accessible, although some agility was required (inverted movement with partial handstand).

see all reviewsLove this class! Sarahs choreo is amazing (just check her Yt or insta) and she breaks it down so well. She is also very funny and entertaining, Id give her 10 stars if I could. The only downside is there are clearly a lot of regulars who all know each other / Sarah so the class is cliquey and not very friendly or welcoming to new people.

see all reviewsSurprisingly challenging, fast paced, good music and nice instructor. Only complaints were in the back row there wasn’t a ton of space so was concerned I was going to kick the instructor when she walked behind us. First 25 min of class today was a combination of body weight exercises and boxing air punching variations. Nothing was done for more than 30 seconds, so you wont get bored and can be motivated to go full out for those 30 seconds. Second have of class was 8 circuit stations, each one minute long of shadow boxing, fire flips, box jumps, db renegade rows, trx rows/jump squats, Bose squats, med ball quick feet toe taps and weighted punches. Note to studio: get a big timer/clock for the room Note to class: please dont make this more of a boxing class, keep it a mix of a little boxing and HIIT
