I’m not much of a yoga fan bc I tend to get bored from the slowness but the addition of the pilates props made everything so engaging. And I was engaged throughout the yoga portions too! I think her class would be really great for someone who is new / was scared to try yoga. Her cues and flows were not too fast paced and intentional. I also really appreciated how encouraging she was with listening to your body/taking breaks/leaving the room for water or fresh air if needed.

The short sets made the burn manageable, and the instructor was super inviting, breaking everything down and walking around to show different angles of each exercise. She was also very motivational. The space was beautiful with lots of natural light. While there’s no dedicated locker room, I was fine using the bathroom to change and storing my stuff in the lockers. see all reviewsBlake is obviously really seasoned as an instructor and is comfortable directing the room. There’s always a sense of everything going off without a hitch and according to plan. We move a bit more quickly than I’m used to—even for vinyasa—but it’s still a manageable pace. Generally, class structure starts slow, then picks up a little speed with each iteration of the flow, then there’s a point where the repetition sort of locks into your muscle memory and it’s almost like we’re doing a kind of yoga choreography, hit the peak pose (which Blake demos at the beginning of class), and then winds down and caps off with a longer savasana/meditation. Accommodating and friendly vibe. I always leave with a bounce in my step!
