see all reviewsI enjoyed this class! Challenging but I felt stronger after. Also went by quick, which I like. Apparently this instructor was subbing for the usual instructor for this class but it was fab. Not a heated class but no AC so it was definitely hot in there! Would opt for shorts/ something breezier.

Village Yoga is Glen Rock's Best and most welcoming heated yoga and wellness studio…Slow Burn Hot Mat Pilates
see all reviewsIve been doing pilates for a while now but this was my first time taking a heated class. I was intimidated going in and immediately realized that this class is NO JOKE! The studio (beautiful btw) is close to 100° which was definitely overwhelming in the beginning, but by the end of class I felt really, really great. Just be prepared to sweat. A LOT . Eddie's sequence was a good mix of classical mat pilates moves with the standard props. Bonus points that he's funny and animated which definitely helps to keep morale up while laying in a puddle of your own sweat. I liked this class a lot more than I expected- I will definitely be back!

see all reviewsThe studio was serene and immaculate. I had a wonderful time in the playground class with Spencer. I have been taking Pilates mat and reformer on and off for >30 years but I have never seen the toys that were featured in this class. A kind of missile with handgrips which challenges your balance and core and TRX were among my favorites. The teacher was chill and magnetic and made helpful corrections in the class. Recommend!

The class was structured well to allow for differing levels of difficulty. It was pleasantly challenging. I also appreciated that Yang’s choice in musics was in the subtle side. The space in Arise is beautiful. I always feel calm in there. Would love to take this again in the future.

see all reviewsI really enjoyed Marika’s class, wish they stuck to the traditional and proper Bikram dialogue without any extras like shhh open mouth exhalation sounds at the beginning and the end, or bending knees cues in the half moon series, but other than that the energy in the room was great, teacher’s cues were wonderful, the room was perfect temperature, and most importantly - the postures were held exactly how long they should be (some studios I go to rush through the postures and cut timing in half!). Will be back ❤️

see all reviewsI'm editing my previous review to clarify what I meant when I said the front desk person was "weird." I meant a weird, unkind energy. I get that people have bad days, but the vibe from the gentleman working was just not okay. I said hi when I put my mat down and got zero response, just an eye roll. Then a student accidentally pushed some mats and shut the door, and he proceeded to huff and puff and roll his eyes again. I’ve worked at multiple studios and know that students should always be treated with respect and kindness. Weird is fine I love weird! but weird, unkind energy isn't. I’ll be back for Monica, but the gentleman working was very unkind and should receive feedback. I will also say the space was beautiful.

It was calm, peaceful, and a great space to really focus and unwind. The instructor gave very clear directions, which made it easy to follow along even when the movements got challenging. I definitely felt fully worked out by the end of the class. They also sprinkled in a few jokes throughout the session — I didn’t catch all of them as a non-native speaker, but it still added to the overall positive and relaxed atmosphere. Overall, a really enjoyable experience. I’d definitely come back!
