    BLAST - Megaformer™

This class will kick your butt. This was my first time using the megaformer. I’ve only ever used the traditional wooden Pilates reformer, so I was a bit nervous. I got there a little bit early and she explained the different springs and features which was super helpful. It is challenging but such a complete body workout!

    Reiki Tuneup + Guided Meditation

This Saturday class is held in the Nave and it’s a bit like the restorative breathwork class where its actually very quiet and individual. I know I was a bit intimidated and wound up going in, but the instructor was so calming. She explained the process and the intentions, guiding us into a relaxed state. There’s vibrational music and incense. Everybody’s got their blanket and bolsters (mats are also provided if you need them). If you’re working through stuff and get emotional or really aware with your body’s misalignment, that’s normal. If you get so relaxed you’re like floating into a sleep state or stasis, that’s ok. The idea is to work out your blockages and feed back into yourself/energy. It’s a safe place by design.

    Slow Burn

First time at this studio. The studio is very clean and nice, especially bathrooms and locker room. Bring your own water bottle, they have a water bottle filler but no water fountain. I had never used a microformer before but it was similar to a reformer. Class was challenging, great core workout and high energy but not too frenetic, liked the attention to form. Instructor was great, just wished there had been hands on adjustments. I will return when I’m back in the area.

The studio is both cozy and neat. I enjoy the instructor’s music selection, their balance of deep and funny comments and the deep stretches I get in class. I feel like my mind also stretches during class.

One of my favorite instructors in the city! Great flows with Ashtanga sequences as well. Also, she does hands on assist to help students use proper form and alignment. Wish her classes were offered during evenings as I can only attend when I have off work due to holidays, etc. Highly recommend.
