HI DEF 45
see all reviewsLaken was incredibly welcoming and extremely helpful for my first time at Studio Three. This class is kind of like a yoga inspired HIIT class? It’s barefoot on yoga mats but focuses on slow movements with heavy weights and cardio bursts.

see all reviewsAwesome workout, really pushes you. One of, if not, my favorite workouts! My only complaint is they don’t do much of a stretch on either end of the workout & it’s not very encouraged to stretch after; the cleaning crew kind of rushes in right when the workout is over.

see all reviewsI’ve never felt anything but safe and welcomed at any of the YogaSix locations; I think it’s one of the best studios in Chicago. Emma had an amazing vibe and was extremely open towards all levels of practitioners. I liked the set sequence that you could make as easy or as challenging as you wanted; there were plenty of modifications for all. There was a bit of flowing on your own but plenty of guidance. I appreciate that she did not single out anyone in the class or give too much individual correcting as we had some beginners and could have made them feel uncomfortable. Heat was perfect and great playlist as well!

see all reviewsWow! What a great instructor. Very patient, took the time in a class with over 30 people to make personal adjustments. I had not done yin yoga in years. It is a great practice for those working on doing more with less. This is a busy studio. I can see why. It is a bit urban grunge, but a place I would definitely come back to.

see all reviewsThe studio is small and intimate and the class was accessible to all levels, but with a strong focus on alignment and technique lots of thoughtful adjustments. Ive been to 2 classes at Hilltop and both times found that they have you hold poses longer than Im used to, which made it feel surprisingly challenging despite the poses themselves being relatively basic. Im pregnant and Hilaire was very comfortable offering me modifications and recommendations without seeming anxious or changing the focus of the class (as has happened to me at other studios).

see all reviewsIt's still hot and humid in the room from the previous class, so I recommend not wearing pants or long sleeves. Also, I saw people bringing pillows, bolsters, and other props. At a minimum, I recommend something for under your neck (to take pressure of the back of your head) and something to cover your eyes (a washcloth or sock works fine).

I’ve been several times and all the workouts have been different... in fact, the only thing in common is feeling the burn in your arms, legs, and core afterwards!
