    leapFLOW Basic ~ IN-STUDIO

Gena is a very grounded gentle instructor. We also had an assistant for this class and at the beginning they asked if folks were ok with being touched / have their posture adjusted. I liked the flow of the class and Gena would offer modifications for certain poses so I did what was comfortable for my body. They provide blocks and blankets. You have to bring your own mat (maybe there’s one to rent but I didn’t check) and I’d recommend bringing a towel cause my mat was getting slippery from sweat. The room is heated to about 80-85 degrees which didn’t feel too hot but does get your warm for the practice and during as well.

Mozhon had a very calm and soothing presence. The class was well guided and it was a full class. The room is set to a slightly warm temperature. They provide mats, blocks, blankets and straps. There’s also a water refilling station. You would need your own towel and water bottle. For this class we used blocks and a mat. Even though it was Hatha yoga there were some Vinyasa like flow elements to it.

Instructor loves to talk about aligning to planets. Good deeping cues. Cool LA guy. A bit hands on of adjustments without asking for permission. Suggestions 1. Opt out of adjustments at the start of class. 2. Breath posture cur is how most teach. You seem to teach cue cue cue. This might be confusing to some students as they don’t know where they’re going. 3. Videotape yourself during the first 10 minutes of your class. Notice when you’re asking for four breaths, how long it takes when you try to do it yourself and you’re not teaching. Personally, I found your breast extremely fast and was only able to get in one breath during your four breath, Q. I’m sure if I’m just off or not and videotaping would help you learn this a bit better rather than Assuming your patience is right. 4. I noticed a lot of wrist and elbow pain during your class. I do yoga every day with other teachers. I have not had this happen before. I also noticed two students in your class or commenting about the pain. Perhaps it is your sequence and the way that you are teaching it.
