Side Oblique Leg Crunch

What is a Side Oblique Leg Crunch?

A Side Oblique Leg Crunch is an abdominal exercise that focuses primarily on the oblique muscles while also working your legs. This is an intermediate to advanced move that will engage the entire core with each crunch. You can practice this exercise anywhere you can bring your mat!

Expert opinion

To isolate the obliques in a side oblique crunch, I tell clients to imagine there is an egg resting on the top side of their rib cage.

Then I cue them to try to wrap their chest over that egg, and to crush that egg with their ribs and chest, reminding them that there is no way they could crush it with their neck or head, given where it is.
