What is a Pulsing Side Plank?

The Pulsing Side Plank is simply a traditional side plank with an added movement for even deeper abdominal exercise. In addition to isolating your obliques, this move also strengthens your back.

How do you do a Pulsing Side Plank?

  • Step 1

    Start on your right side with your right forearm directly underneath your shoulder. Stack your feet and lift up your hips until your body forms a straight line. Extend your left arm straight out.

  • Step 2

    Pulse your hips toward the sky for at least 30 seconds, then repeat on the other side.
