About this class

Fulcrum Matrix Training sessions offer the best in large group personal training (bootcamp) During each session you can expect four sections: Dynamic Warmup: 7 mins. The Fulcrum 5 challenges balance, coordination, stretches you out, brings your heart rate up and gets you ready for anything we throw at you in the workout. Main Focus: Approximately 25-30 minutes. Depending on which day you come, you will Work on Strength, Conditioning or HIIT training during the first portion of the workout. The movements will be programmed for Upper Body Push, Upper Body Pull, Lower Body, or Full Body. Minor Focus: Approximately 15-20 minutes. Meant to complement the Major Focus for the day, the minor section of your workout will focus on Core, HIIT, Mobility, or injury prevention (Prehab). Cool Down: We believe in the importance of cooling down to prevent excessive soreness. Every Fulcrum workout incorporates a 5-minute cooldown that ranges from foam rolling to yoga poses.

The workouts at fulcrum are always really good but the energy of the classes is surprisingly mellow. I often feel like I’m not getting a great workout because I’m not dying during the class but I’m always super sore the next day.

How to prepare

Get ready to get fit, kick ass, and have fun in all of our Fulcrum classes! Please arrive at the studio 10 minutes before class to fill out any paperwork. For ALL classes please bring a water bottle and a towel cause you’re gonna get sweaty! We do have filtered water system so you can refill. For cycle class wear hard-soled tennis shoes or SPD-clip cycle shoes (we don’t offer rentals at this time). For yoga bring a mat. For barre wear ballet wraps, sticky socks, or bare feet. For training, wear your cross-trainers, free of mud.

How to get there

How can I get to the B-Side location? We are located at 1925 W. Burnside St. in The Civic Complex between Burnside St and Morrison St on 18th right across the street from Providence Park (Go Thorns! Go Timbers! RCTID!) We are centrally located near TriMet bus service (routes 15, 51, 63, 20) and TriMet MAX (Red and Blue lines get off at the Providence Park station) Where can I park? There is a parking garage on Morrison St. between 18th and 20th on the right hand side. We validate parking up to 90 minutes, get your stamp at the front desk.

What is ClassPass?
